respectIully moves this Court Ior leave to Iile a brieI amicus curiae in support oI
no party, in response to respondent Broadcom Corporation`s Motion to Terminate with Respect to
the Dally Patents (May 26, 2011) ('Termination Motion).

PCI-SIGis an industry consortium Iormed to develop, manage and promote the Peripheral
Component Interconnect ('PCI) bus speciIications. PCI speciIications such as PCI Express

(PCIe

) provide the industry standard Ior a high-perIormance data transIer bus between various
pieces oI computer hardware. The over 900 current members oI PCI-SIG comprise leading suppliers
oI central processing units (CPUs), peripherals, and other products and services that rely on the PCI
speciIication.

As part oI its mission, PCI-SIG encourages compliance with the PCI speciIication,
helping members minimize interoperability issues by promoting interaction between OEMs, system
vendors, and add-in card vendors.
PCI-SIG`s sole purpose in Iiling a brieI amicus curiae is to inIorm this Tribunal oI PCI-
SIG`s views regarding the importance and interpretation oI the Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory
('RAND) licensing provisions in the PCI-SIG bylaws. Because these RAND provisions have been

put at issue in the Termination Motion, PCI-SIG submits that its views may be helpIul to this
Tribunal. PCI-SIG takes no position, however, as to how the Termination Motion should be decided.
Nor does PCI-SIG present any evidence, or opine regarding any Iacts that may be presented by the
parties to this Investigation. PCI-SIG seeks to Iile a brieI amicus curiae only on behalI oI the
organization as a whole, and nothing in such brieI necessarily represents the position oI, or is
attributable to, any individual PCI-SIG member.
PCI-SIG`s brieI amicus curiae in support oI no party, regarding respondents Broadcom
Corporation`s Motion to Terminate with Respect to the Dally Patents, is attached as Exhibit A. A
true and correct copy oI the PCI-SIG Membership Agreement is attached as Exhibit B.
