The following pages contain a lot of material about the classes at Hogwarts. Do not feel you have to cover everything or anything listed. NOTE: No activity materials are included in this document. It does reference the badge programs and supplements that go with the Adult Enrichment Project Harry Potter set.

O = Outstanding (Pass, continue to N.E.W.T.) E = Exceeds Expectations (Pass, continue to N.E.W.T.) A = Acceptable (Pass, rarely to N.E.W.T.) P = Poor (Fail, may repeat subject) D = Dreadful (Fail, no O.W.L. credit) T = Troll (Fail, with distinction. More than one T may mean refusal into other N.E.W.T.s)

Standard classroom Bathsheba Babbling Classwork/homework includes plenty of practice interpreting runes. The O.W.L. involves translating something written in runes into English.

Arithmancy / Advanced Arithmancy Studies Location: Standard classroom Professor: Septima Vector Class: Arithmancy is a branch of magic that is concerned with the magical properties of numbers; students are expected to write essays and to be able to understand complicated number charts.

Astronomy Tower (meets at midnight) Aurora Sinistra Essays for the theory portion involve learning a lot of facts. During their practical O.W.L., the fth years had to ll in a star chart by locating and correctly identifying various celestial bodies then visible in the sky.

Care of Magical Creatures Location: Outside the castle, Forbidden Forest Professor: Kettleburn Rubeus Hagrid, substitute Wilhemina Grubbly-Plank Class: Class involves handling, feeding, controlling various creatures.
