Guiding Steps For Summer Training Internship


Responding to the critical needs of the Insurance industry, the MFMRI supports Summer training internships that strengthen the link between theory and the real worlds expectations. The Faculty also encourages frequent contacts with the professionals/Industry experts through guest lectures and workshops. These contacts help us improve upon our programme inputs making them more relevant. Objectives of Summer Training:-

To provide conceptual foundation, knowledge and operational practices Specially in Insurance. To see for them how the theories and principles learnt in the classroom could be translated into reality in the business world. To improve the ability to identify and minimize the risk factors through risk management techniques as applicable to Insurance.

Summer Training:The silver lining of this two year full time Master of Financial Management Risk & Insurance (MFM RI) Programme, is the Summer Internship arranged with accredited Institutions in the Insurance Sector, at the end of 2nd Semester. During the Internships, students learn to cope up to work under pressures and to face real-life-situations.

DURATION:- 6 Weeks.
We believe that the two months' internship phase in 2nd Semester develops our young students to be groomed into potential resources to be picked up by the Corporate World.

No Professional curriculum is Considered complete without Industry Experience. Every Individual Doing any kind of professional course has to undergo through practical study before one can consider himself or herself fully qualified as a Potential Manager. Students are individually assigned to Industry Mentors minimum for two months or 6 weeks at end of 2nd semester end with an objective to groom them for the future challenges so that they successfully develop as young professionals with a thirst for action and a hunger to make their mark in the Corporate World. One of the most valuable benefits for the students is to Real time involvement with industry allows students to gain valuable practical experience and also facilitates application of the skills for development of business.

Following Steps should be Considered by the Students during the Training Days:1. Summer Training internship is the integral Part of Course Curriculum of Master of Financial management Risk & Insurance. 2. It Should be done under Prescribed format which must be fulfilled by the students & Concerned Organisation. (e.g): Training letter issued by Faculty to Organisation. Confirmation Letter issued by Organisation to the Faculty. Approval letter issued by the faculty. 3. It will be based On the Job Training Mode. 4. Summer training should be carried out under the guidance of Well Experienced Industry Professional Experts. 5. Summer Training will lead to the Preparation & Submission of a Written project Based on the Training at the end of 3rd Semester. 6. Written Training Project must Contain the SUMMER TRAINING COMPELETION CERTIFICATE mentioning the Name of the Students, Duration, Title of the Summer Project issued by the Concerned Organisation duly Signed/Stamp. 7. Project should be carried out in the way that it should be Considered beneficial to the Concerned organisation as well as Students. A Copy of Project will be Submitted to the Project Guide, A Copy will be Submitted to the Organisation & A Copy will be retained by the Student. 8. Summer Project carried out should be Duly Correct, based on facts, transparent in all respect and records of authenticity. 9. Written Summer training project should not be Repetitive in nature, it should be declared by student that it has not been submitted to any other student, or in any other university/Institute for the award of any degree. 10. Regular Visit to the field/Organisation by the students during the training period is required or must.
