This qualification enables you to become a Chartered Certified Accountant, use the designatory letters ACCA, and work in any aspect of finance or management in any business. The ACCA Professional Scheme is a highly relevant, targeted combination of study and practical experience. The syllabus is a result of extensive research and consultation with governments, students, colleges and employers from a range of public and private sector organisations. Entry Requirements
For entry to ACCA's Professional Qualification, you must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the criteria listed below: Senior School Certificate 10 + 2 (passes in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics / Accounts, mark of 65% in at least 2 subjects and over 50% in the others) 2 year BCom / BA / BSc (from a recognised institution)

2 GCE (Advanced level) passes and 3 GCE (Ordinary level) passes (Advanced level passes at grades A-E, Ordinary level passes at grades A-C, including English and Mathematics. Intermediate Examinations / Higher School Certificate at 50% or above can be accepted as a substitute for Ordinary levels.

This valuable initiative enables students to sit for an Oxford Brookes BSc Honours degree in Applied Accounting while taking their ACCA examinations. The Oxford Brookes BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Accounting is a highly regarded qualification which is based on practical, professional, employer-driven accounting requirements. It enables students to prove that not only have they mastered the knowledge required for the degree, but that they have the key skills required by graduate employers. In addition to passing Part 1 and Part 2 of the ACCA examinations, students will be required to complete a Research and Analysis Project. This is designed to ensure that students have acquired the additional key skills required for the award of an Oxford Brookes degree.

When to Register with ACCA UK


You can apply to register with ACCA at any time. However, there are two examination sessions per year, and in order to sit for a particular session ACCA (in Glasgow) must receive your Registration Form by the following dates: Note: Students are required to fulfill their ACCA registration and examination formalities themselves.
