FromJuly6thAugust3rdvisitorstothe AttleboroArtsMuseumwillexperience GREENasitfallsbetweenyellowandblue, asacalltoaction,asthealmightydollar, Hybrid#6byMiaCapodilupo; asourecofuture,asachildhood fabric,plastic,castrubber, encounterwithvegetables fur,styrofoam,metalson canvas. InJanuary2011theMuseumposteda nationalcallforartistsrequestingworkin anysize,mediumorconceptthatrespondedtoGREEN.GuestjurorKateMcNamara,DirectorandChief CuratoroftheBostonUniversityArtGallery,carefullyreviewedcloseto300submissionsthatweresent totheMuseumfromallovertheUnitedStates.WereceivedartworkfromCaliforniatoMassachusetts andseveralstatesinbetween.EachpiececarriedauniquespinonGREEN.Somewereasignofthe times,otherswereareflectionofhowtheartistconnectstotheirlocaleandseveralwerestrongstudies incolorandtexture,commentsMimBrooksFawcett,ExecutiveDirectoroftheAttleboroArtsMuseum. Fawcettcontinues,Thisthemewasselectedbecauseofitsdiversity.GREENcanbeacause,acolorand aswithsomanycolorstherearepowerfulemotionalassociations.
