students will make a passport. Tomorrow, Wed, and Thurs, students will learn about 8 different countries ( . Korea, S. Korea, U.S.A., anada, South Africa, Australia, Italy and England). Friday students will do a Treasure unt around the school. There will also be a new years party and a prize giving. Students will receive different stamps in their passport for their performance in all the activities du ring the camp. Students will also be rewarded for their personal behavior during the camp. There will also be prizes for: Most stamps (group) Most stamps (individual) Most Interesting passport Most helpful student Friendliest student Most creative student ardest working student Most English onscious student
Make a assport Acti ity The teacher will show Mr. Slabbers passport from South Africa. e will explain that you need a passport to travel. Every student will make a passport. The passport will have their name, their picture, pictures of things they like, their birthday, age, gender (girl/boy), and anything else about them that they want to add.

Vocabulary and Role-Play: Airport Since the camps theme is Travel the World, this lesson we will introduce airport vocabulary to the students, and introduce a few simple sentences the student can memorize.

Game: Pictionary
To introduce this game, pick out a picture card that the students are familiar with. Don't show it to the students, but draw the object on the board and get the students to try to guess what it is. Once they guess correctly, show them the card. Do this again. Then, the student who guesses ame correctly gets to draw next. After they guess and losing this one, divide the class into two teams and 11: 0 12:00 choose one student from each team to draw first. Give each student a piece of chalk and show each of them a different picture to draw. It's usually good to start with simple nouns. Adjectives and verbs can be included later. The first team to guess what their picture is scores a point. It may be advisable to keep the score fairly close by giving the team that's ahead a slightly more difficult picture to draw. The first team to score 10 points wins. When the students are comfortable with this game, give them word cards instead of picture cards to work from.

Activity : Lets Cook! The students will make American hristmas Fudge ( hocolate Peanut butter fudge).

Stir over high heat until mixture comes to a rolling boil. ower heat to medium and continue cooking to a soft ball stage. . Remove from heat, add peanut butter and margarine. Beat by hand until creamy; pour into prepared pan. Allow to cool and cut into squares.

Activity 4: Games The class is split into 2 groups. One group follows the Native Teacher and the other group follows the Korean Teacher. The students will rotate through 6 games. Game: Duck, Duck, G s Location: Back of classroom The students review and learn animal vocabulary using flashcards: duck/goose, cat/lion, dog/wolf. Each student will bring their chair and sit in a circle in the back of the

classroom. Rules: One student is it and walks around the back of the circle tapping the other childrens heads saying duck. The it student keeps saying duck until he/she chooses a student and says goose. The chosen student must jump out of the chair and chase the it student around the circle. If the it student is caught he/she must say duck, duck again. If the it student sits in the other students chair before getting caught, then the chosen student is now it. All students get a USA stamp if they played well.
Game: Red lig , G een lig Location: Hallway The students review that a red traffic light means stop and a green traffic light means go. Rules: The it student stands with his back to the other students who are standing far away. When the it student says green light!, the other students run to the it student as fast as they can. When the it student says red light!, the other students must freeze immediately. If they dont stop running immediately, then they are out. The first student to reach the it student wins. Every student who plays the game well gets a NY stamp. Game: Taekwondo (Please game) Location: Anywhere with standing space The students learn action vocabulary words: punch, front kick, side kick, block, break. They will do the actions and repeat after the teacher. Rules: The teacher will say Punch, please and every student will do the punching movement. If the teacher says Punch!, the students do not do the movement because the teacher did not say please. The students who do the wrong movement are out.

The class divides into their groups. Each student is given a paper hut. The students will be provided with clay, straw, rocks, twigs, colored paper etc. The team with the most accurate looking village gets an Africa stamp. The student with the most hut also gets an Africa stamp.

Location: Back of classroom The students review colors and learn the phrase Everybody wearing Each student will bring their chair and sit in a circle in the back of the classroom. Rules: One student is it and stands in the middle of the circle. The it students says, Every wearing blue! and everyone wearing blue must jump up and move to a different seat. The it student tries to get a chair, so there will be a new student in the middle. All students get a Cape Town stamp if they played well.
Game: Big5 Animals Slap n Say Location: Inside classroom regular seats The students learn the Big 5 animals: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros using flashcards. Rules: Split the group into 2 teams. One student from each team will come to the board. The teacher says an animal and the students must run and slap and say the correct animal using a toy hammer. The winning team gets an Cape Town stamp. If time, play again so the other team gets a chance to win and get a stamp. Game: Whisper game Location: Anywhere with standing space The students stand in 2 lines. The teacher whispers a word or sentence to the first student. The whisper goes down the line until the last student hears it and runs to the teacher saying the word. The team that says the correct word or sentence gets one point. When the song is finished the other students look to see if they have the handkerchief behind them. If they do, they must jump up and catch the it student. Students then have to write down three of the toppings that they have learnt. Those who succeed receive a pizza stamp. The students each make their own pizza sandwich. Activity : Treasure Hunt The students will run around the school and playground finding clues and answering questions on their Treasure Hunt list. The clues will be in English and Korean. They must bring items back to the teacher, and can ask the teacher for hints. Ice cream is the treasure.

Activity 3: Feedback The teacher asks the students, What was your favorite game? And What game did you not like? Activity 4: New Years Resolutions Each student tells the class what their new years resolutions are. Activity 5: New Years Party! The students and teacher all partake in the food that everybody brought to the party. The school provides drinks (Co ca Cola and Cider) and potato chips/popcorn.
