Parking

Brighton & Hove Council car parking operations/information centres. There are various car parks in Brighton & Hove, some of which are open 24 hours a day - for more information on NCP car parks, please telephone 0870 606 7050 (choose option 4, then option 2) or email customer.service@ncp.co.uk. See the attached list of prices and locations. www.ncp.co.uk Pay & display bays Brighton & Hove Council operates a pay & display parking scheme in and around the city. This operates every day, including bank holidays, with the exception of Christmas day. Operation times are between 9am-6pm or 8pm, depending on the zone. Street signs and road markings indicate where pay & display parking is in operation, at what time of day and for what length of time i.e. 2 or 4 hours maximum depending on zone. (Please note that this scheme has replaced voucher parking). Pay & display Parking Charges: Zone Y Central Zone: 1.50 per half hour, max stay 2 hours, min stay hour no return within 1 hour. Zone Z Outer Zone: 1.50 per hour max stay 4 hours, min stay 1 hour no return within 1 hour. There are also other pay & display bays, as well as residents bays outside of the above zones. Please check signs for operation times and exact prices. Pay & display open air car parks There are 3 Council run Pay & Display Car Parks around Brighton & Hove allowing you to park for an unlimited period: 1. To the eastern end of Madeira Drive, Brighton (between Brighton Pier and the Marina) 2. Kingsway, Hove (between the Peace Statue and Fourth Ave) 3. King Alfred Leisure Centre, Kings Esplanade, Hove (entrance to the right of Texaco Petrol Station off Kingsway, Hove) Charges are between 9am-6pm every day including Sundays and Bank Holidays. Tickets issued after 6pm start from 9am the following morning. See prices overleaf. Park & ride

Withdean Sports Complex, Tongdean Lane, Brighton. (approx. 3 miles north of the town centre - signposted from the A23). Cost is 3 per adult return or 3.20 before 9am Mon-Fri (up to 2 accompanying children up to and including age 15 travel free) parking is free. Countycard holders also travel for free. Parking for disabled visitors There are parking bays specifically for blue badge holders in most areas in the city centre. Otherwise, parking for blue badge holders is allowed in zones Y and Z pay & display parking bays, free of charge for an unlimited period. Blue badges should always be clearly displayed. Although parking on double yellow lines should normally be avoided (please check street signs for guidance), parking on these and single yellow lines is allowed for up to 3 hours with the clock clearly displayed as long as they are not causing an obstruction or there are no loading restrictions. (except along Kings Road where parking is not permitted). Parking is not permitted in resident permit holders spaces without a resident' permit (apart from areas H, and O where blue badge holders can park). Free on-street parking Many areas of Brighton & Hove (outside the city centre) have free on-street parking available, should you wish to consider parking and taking one of the many buses to the centre. Check street signs for guidance as some bays are reserved for resident permit holders during certain times. Coach parking The Coach Park is situated to the eastern end of Madeira Drive, east of Dukes Mound, Brighton. Parking is 10.00 (pay and display) per day. Please note that it is not possible to book spaces in advance. Pick-up/setting down - near Sea Life Centre - only for 15 min. Vehicle removal & pound Sackville Trading Estate, Sackville Road, Hove - must bring identification i.e. driving license, recent utility bill, council tax bill etc. but NOT passports.
