KIDS, PARENTS AND FACEBOOK

Kids, Parents, and Facebook


I. Introduction Thesis Statement: Facebook nowadays has more influences to people in family life especially in the interaction between parents and children such as kids cant concentrate to listen to the teachers explanation in the class, kids cant control their time in doing Facebook at home, and parents forget their responsibility because they are busy facebooking.

II.

Body A. Kids cant concentrate to listen to the teachers explanation in the class 1. Kids use Facebook in the class using their cellphone. 2. They dont understand what the teacher is saying because they dont pay attention. 3. The kids feel sleepy in the class because they sleep late at the previous night for facebooking. B. Kids cant control their time in doing Facebook 1. At home, instead of studying, the children keep on using Facebook. 2. Moreover, they sleep, eat, take a bath, and pray late because they are busy with their Facebook. C. Parents forget their responsibility because they are busy facebooking 1. A case of a mother who neglect her children because of Facebook 2. The mothers spend too much time on facebooking so they dont take care of the household. 3. The parents delay their family activities for Facebook.

III.

Conclusion In conclusion, we can say that Facebook is not always good for kids and adult because it can distract the kids concentration in the class, make the kids time uncontrolled, and make the parents responsibility forgotten because they are busy with Facebook

Kids, Parents, and Facebook


Many people from different ages nowadays using Facebook, a popular social website networking that commonly used as a connector between relatives. Not only the teenagers, but also from the student from elementary school until the housewifes. Facebooking, an informal term to browsing, chating, and doing something with Facebook, has became a habit. People found that Facebook is useful because it can be used as media for knowing the news from a relative lives in other city or overseas. Moreover, Facebook can also used as personal publication for some events such as marriage, birthday party, or even family meeting. Some people even just realized that they have another family member by Facebook. However, besides the advantages that has mentioned before, Facebook has a different side for family. Facebook nowadays has more influences to people in family life especially in the interaction between parents and children such as kids cant concentrate to listen to the teachers explanation in the class, kids cant control their time in doing Facebook at home, and parents forget their reponsibility because they are busy facebooking. First, we usually find a problem that kids cant concentrate to listen to the teachers explanation in the class. They browsing the Facebook in the class using their cellphone. Moreover, there are many smartphone such as Blackberry that facilitate them to browse the internet everywhere. Some parents who dont think much when their children ask them to buy it dont realize that it can distract the kids concentration. The kids dont understand what the teacher is saying because they dont pay attention. Furthermore, the kids feel sleepy in the class because they sleep late at the previous night for facebooking. The other problem is the kids cant control their time in doing Facebook. At home, instead of studying, the children keep on using Facebook. Moreover, they sleep, eat, take a bath, and pray late because they are busy with their Facebook. When we are doing the things that we love, its normal to forget the time. It becomes a problem when we cant deal with it. A child who have their own computer in their

room usually isnt monitored by their parents. Therefore, the parents should keep an eye on their children and remind them to manage the time. Not only the kids, these days, parents would love to have their own social networking account. They find that Facebook is interesting. For example, they can play many games in Facebook. Moreover, Facebook is user-friendly even for some parents who are not good at technology. Parents think that Facebook is useful too. Besides of the advantages which are mentioned before, they use Facebook to monitor their children. Nevertheless, some parents forget their reponsibility because they are busy facebooking. There were case of a mother who neglect her children because of Facebook. Its outrageous that the reason for negleting your children is too busy with Facebook. The mothers spend too much time on facebooking so they dont take care of the household. The parents delay their family activities for Facebook. The parents who are supposed to be good model to their children suddenly forget it when they are sitting on front of the computer. The parents should do their task properly along by helping their children in managing time. Consequently, they should manage their own time first by using Facebook appropriately. In conclusion, we can say that Facebook is not always good for kids and adult because it can distract the kids concentration in the class, kids time is being wasted for something useless, and the parents responsibility is forgotten because they are busy with Facebook. The parents should help their children and themselves to manage the time so they can do their responsibility and at the same time, both the kids and the parents can keep on facebooking and have good interaction one another.
