Job Title: Objective:

Manager - Operations Provide support to the trading front office and ensure that business activities are carried out in an efficient, controlled manner. Ensures that the relevant administration is carried out once a trade has been completed and to manage day-to-day processes and develop new systems in order to maximise efficiency and profitability for the bank. Deals with all incoming queries and resolve issues within the agreed time frame. QSA CEO Operations Officer Wealth Management Asset Management Risk Management Department Finance Department

Accountable to: Responsible for: Working Relationships

Key tasks and duties: Reviews collation of client account opening documentation and liaises with compliance officer to receive sign off for client onboarding Reviews and Authorises the setup of new client accounts and maintenance of client static data. Reviews and authorises all transactions input staff. Responsible for ensuring all necessary and regulatory client reporting requirements are met Reviews and updates departments policies and procedures on a regular basis. Reviews all account reconciliations daily. Monitors the daily activity and reports for all operational processes Manages departmental projects: identifying and specifying developments and improvements and coordinating the testing and implementation of these developments. Acts as single point of contact for the Operations department to resolve any issues or client queries Investigates breaks and issues with any operational reconciliation Collates Management Information reporting for all operations processes Responsible for ensuring complete audit trails for all transactions are met and operational risks are reported and resolved. Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned. Ability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed targets Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing demands and roles Demonstrated people management skills Strong prioritising skills with excellent oral and written communication skills Understanding of basic accountancy principles, settlement processes and bank payment services such as SWIFT

Core skills/Competencies required:

Experience and Education: Minimum 6 to 8 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Degree Level or Equivalent professional qualifications desirable Knowledge in banking operation function (knowledge of iMAL, Reuters Kondor system desirable) IFQ qualification advantageous or other industry recognised qualification Knowledge and experience of Islamic Banking desirable Arabic Speaker necessary
