Aug08-July10 at Dell India R&D Centre, Bangalore in High Performance Computing and Database Oracle on Linux Platform Job Role: Deployed 2 node cluster with 8 Ibrix Fusion Clients to obtain performance for Ibrix Parallel file system on RHEL 5.1 and used IOzone benchmark tool for the same. Deployed 2 node cluster with Oracle 11g Real Application Cluster(RAC) to obtain and improve the performance of Oracle 11g RAC using the Quest Benchmark tool on RHEL 5.3

Key Highlights: Deployed and administered Oracle 11g RAC (Real Application Cluster) with Fibre Channel (FC) Storage CX320 and AX4-5i. Obtained performance of Ibrix parallel file system with the combination of iSCSI Storage that is Dell MD3000i. Improved the performance of the Ibrix file system and tuned it in many ways. Performance for Ibrix Parallel File System with Dell MD3000i Storage Using IOzone File System Benchmarking Tool This project was done for high performance computing team as part of Research and Development in Dell India R&D Bangalore. This project validates Ibrix parallel file system functionality and performance with iSCSI storage MD3000i which is a Dell product. Two segment servers were used for this project which are Dell Power Edge 1950 servers and 8 blade servers which were used as 8 client machines to access the storage. There was a front end machine to monitor and operate all the functions and also an Ibrix fusion manager machine which was used to manage Ibrix file system. Important Technical concepts used for this project The project included Storage Networks, iSCSI (internet Small Computer System Interface) Technology, RAID5 and High Availability. A comparison would be drawn based on IOzone performance for Ibrix file system using different number of threads, file set size, NFS using Ibrix and ext3 file system.

Responsibilities Configuring storage and providing luns with RAID to different hosts. Configuring zones on SAN switches. Installing and configuring HBAs on the hosts. Project Description

Oracle 10g, 11g RAC (Real Application Cluster) Administration, Deployment and Performance tuning on Fibre Channel (FC) Storage CX3-20 This project was done as part of Research and Development in Dell India R&D Bangalore. It includes Deployment of Oracle 11g RAC for Data base 2 node Cluster. Here functionality and performance for Oracle 11g RAC with FC storage CX3-20, and Ax4-5i Storages was carried out. There were two Oracle 11g Servers used for this project which are Dell Power Edge 6950 Servers and 2 Rack Servers which were used as 2 Client machines to access the storage. Important Technical concepts used for this project: Fibre Channel, Power path, Oracle 11g Clusterware, Oracle 11g RAC, Automatic Storage Manager, Voting Disks, Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR), SGA (System Global Area) and RAID 10.

Online Examination System In this project a data base of academic institute was created and PHP code was written to access the database using XAMP Server. Handwritten Digit Recognition with Artificial Neural Network using MATLAB In this project handwritten digits were taken as a scanned image, creating a multilayer feed forward back propagation network, applying pattern recognition methods of ANN and making that network detect the correct digits in scanned image.
