Install VLC and Audacity Extract the LAME MP3 encoder Open VLC Click Media Click Convert/Save Click on the Network tab Where it says Please enter network URL: paste the stream link of your choice Then click on Convert/Save at the bottom of the window A window appears with Convert at the top Click on browse and choose a location where you want to record your file to e.g. Desktop Give your file a name e.g. MondayStream.mp3 >>I always include the extension .mp3 at the end of my files name Click save Where it says Profile click on the arrow for the dropdown menu and select Audio - MP3 Click start and after a few seconds YOU WILL BE RECORDING AN ULTIMIX!!! >>Note: You will not be able to hear the stream as it is recording Go to where you saved your file. You might notice the file size getting bigger if you hover your mouse over the file If it still reads as 0bytes, just refresh the page and the size will have increased Go do your homework or enjoy the great tunes while your stream is recording Click STOP to end the recording

Open Audacity Click File Click Open Locate your recorded stream and open it Wait for it to finish importing Drag and pull your mouse over the area of the stream that is you do not want Press cut (looks like a scissor) >> Note that you cannot cut while the stream is not playing. You will have to press stop first The volume of the stream comes out low, so we want to increase the volume permanently Click Effect Click on Amplify I like to Amplification to be anywhere between 10dB and 11dB Click on Allow Clipping Click on OK Wait for it to Amplify Click File Click on Export Give your file a name e.g. Ultimix@6.Dj.Kent.01.01.11.mp3 >> You have to include .mp3 Click Save On the next screen, Click OK On the next screen Audacity wants lame_enc.dll Locate it where you extracted LAME MP3 encoder by clicking Browse Click OK Wait for the stream to Export ALL DONE!!!
