    The races will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), including Appendix d and the SailX Sailing Instructions. Teams will use either blue or yellow boat colors to be detected by SailX system. Any boat that performs a Pro Foul (as per 44. (B) and D2. (d)); is observed doing so by the umpires, the race committee or the protest committee will be subject to such penalty.

    1RULES

    SailingInstructions

    1.1.TheraceswillbegovernedbythecurrentRacingRulesofSailing(RRS),including AppendixDandtheSailXSailingInstructions. 1.2.TeamsneedtohaveaRegisteredSailXgroupname. 1.3.TeamswilluseeitherblueoryellowboatcolorstobedetectedbySailXsystem 1.4.Teamsmayuseaudioorotherinternalcommunicationsystem. 1.5.AnyboatthatperformsaProFoul(asper44.1(B)andD2.2(d));isobserveddoingsoby theumpires,theracecommittee,ortheprotestcommitteeORifprotestedbyanopposing teamandreviewedbyacommitteefromreplaywillbesubjecttosuchpenaltyastheprotest committeemayimpose,includingdisqualificationfromoneormoreraces.ThischangesRRS 64.1(a). 1.6.Ifnoumpiresarepresentforrace;penaltiesshallbeissuedbetheRulesEngineand ProtestwillbeheadintheSailXProtestRoom.ProperProtestproceduresarerequired. 1.7.Advancedmanoeuvres(asdefinedbythegeneralSailXSailingInstructions)willNOTbea breachofanyruleandwillbepartofexpectedseamanship. 1.8.Rule2willbestrictlyenforced.ThisisagameandthiseventistohaveFUN.SailFAIR.

    2ENTRIES
    2.1.EligibleteamsthathavebeenregisteredinaccordancewiththeConditionsandNoticeof RacemaysignupthroughSailx.com.

    3NOTICESTOCOMPETITORSandDiscussionBoard
    3.1.NoticestocompetitorswillbepostedonTeamsforumundertheTopicSchull2011 SailXTeamRacingWorldChampionship>NoticestoCompetitors 3.2.TheTeamsForumwillbecometheofficialNoticeandDiscussionBoardfortheEvent.

    4CHANGESTOTHESAILINGINSTRUCTIONS

    4.1.AnychangeintheSailingInstructionsortheschedulewillbeapprovedbytheChief Umpireandpostedbeforemidnight(GMT)onthedaybeforeitwilltakeeffect,exceptthat changesmadeunderInstruction8.3willbeeffectiveimmediatelyandmaybepostedatany time.Thischangesrule90.2(c). 4.2.Inaccordancewithrule90.2(c),anychangetothesailinginstructionsonthewaterwillbe communicatedorallyinthefieldbytheRaceCommitteeand/orumpiresusingabroadcast message.

    5BOATSPROVIDEDBYTHEORGANIZINGAUTHORITY
    5.1.SailxTeamsBoatsareonlyboattobeusedinthisRegatta.

    6THECOURSE
    6.1.ThecoursewillbeadigitalN.

    7THESTART
    7.1.RaceswillbestartedusingtheSailxnormalstartingprecedure. 7.2.Ifbothteamsagree;thePreStartmaybeshortenedto2Mins.

    8PROTESTSANDREQUESTSFORREDRESS
    8.1.RuleD2.4(b)appliestoallprotestsandrequestsforredress. 8.2.Forprotestsandrequestsforredressotherthanprotestsunderarulelistedinrule D2.2(a),competitorsshallinformanumpireortheRaceCommitteepriortorotatingboatsor retiringfromthefield. 8.3.Aredflag,whenrequiredtobedisplayedbyrule61.1(a)orruleD5.1,shallbedisplayed

    untilacknowledgedbyanumpire.ThischangesruleD2.1(a). 8.4.Theumpireswill,whenappropriate,attempttohearprotestsandrequestsforredress whileonthefield;however,shouldahearingashorebenecessary,thescheduleofanyhearings shallbepublishedontheofficialnoticeboard. 8.5.DecisionsunderrulesD5.1andD5.2shallbemadebytheumpires.ThischangesrulesD5.1 andD5.2. 8.6.DecisionsoftheumpiresunderrulesD5.1andD5.2willbefinalinaccordancewithrule 70.5(a). 8.7.AllstandardrulesappliednotmodifiedintheSailingInstructionsforProtestandRequests forRedressProceduresfornonumpiredraces.
