Will there be building on “Parish Land” ?

Following a recent Parish Council meeting we have had several verbal enquiries
about the use of what people consider ‘Parish’ Land. People were of the opinion
that this land should be held in trust for villagers, their children and grandchil-
dren - and should not be covered in concrete. The Parish Council are trying to
protect the Village Hall field by calling it ‘recreational land’, and have gone as far
as they could to stop any building on the land. Land at the Cricket and Bowls
Clubs are OK as they hold long-term leases. The Village Voice would be happy to
hear from ‘local builders’, to hear their side of this particular story.
