Mobile commerce (M-Commerce), also known as M-Business, includes any business activity conducted over a wireless telecommunication network. This includes B2C and B2B commercial transactions as well as the transfer of information and services via wireless mobile devices. 1. What sells best in M-Commerce? Make a list of products and services that offer the best opportunity fo r the development of M-Commerce. What characteristics that these items possess that makes them sellable? 2. Mobile banking is the most popular mobile application in fi nancial services. Describe at least three services provided by mobile banking.

3. Discuss the technical limitations of M -Commerce. Which of the M-Commerce limitations do you think will have the biggest negative impact on M -Commerce? Which negative impact can be minimized within 5 years? (30 marks)

Mobile commerce or m-commerce can be defined as Mobile Commerce is any transaction, involving the transfer of ownership or rights to use goods and services, which is initiated and/or completed by using mobile access to computer -mediated networks with the help of an electronic device (Tiwari, 2007) The item that sells best in m -commerce is mobile applications. The android and Apple iPhone can install soft ware over the air through internet by means of gsm or wifi, and peruse upon catalogue of applications. The software sales from Apple's mobile App Store and competing Android Market are expected to continue their huge growth in the coming years, reaching $14 .1 billion in direct revenue in 2012 and nearly $40 billion by 2015. SMS services Some of the popular SMS services that mobile service providers have are Picture messaging: Picture messages, normally a template used for particular events such as Eid, Valentines Day, etc Premium SMS: for services such as queue number, prayer times, flight informations, stock rates, dictionary, directory services. Social networking sms: Normally the receiving feeds from twitter and facebook are free but to reply to the feed will be charged by the service provider. Thaana SMS: Send SMS in native Dhivehi font using a special application for the mobile Color SMS: a special application for the mobile, (Dhiraagu, 2010)

Premium SMS: Used for popular high demand areas such as in health and finance services. Social networking sms: The easy way to get this service: from registering with a keyword. The user with no access to internet will want to reply to his/her feeds thru sms. Thaana SMS: The low rates and new technology

Color SMS: The low rates and new technology as special mobile application , (Dhiraagu, 2010) 2. MMS services This service was popular as generally all the handsets had this service. Short movie and song trailers clips can be directly downloaded so are shown, service providers shows Ads through mass media boosting demand for this . Also can send this product to customer instantly over the air which is the best characteristic. The product is cheap and low cost to make. 3.
