Honduras - Decorate mini crosses Egypt - Create a Pharaoh mask Russia - Create Faberg Eggs Laos - Ceramics
On Dia de la Cruz (Day of the Cross), May 3, people of Honduras and other Latin American countries decorate a cross outside their homes or in public places to mark the start of the rainy season. Pharaohs were the political and religious leaders of the Egyptian people. Learn more about some of the most famous pharaohs while creating your mask. In Russia, the Easter celebration is very important to the Orthodox faith. Elaborately decorated eggs are exchanged as a symbol of renewed life and hope.
In Laos fragments of glazed and unglazed ceramic pieces have been unearthed and dated as early as the 15th century. Some villages in Laos still continue the art of ceramic production.
