Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. Psalm 80:18 BEHIND THE SCENES
We may come to family camp every year and enjoy all the activities, services, meals and beautiful grounds and never give a second thought to the work that goes on behind the scenes that allows it all to take place. Id like to take some time to introduce you to some of campmeetings unsung heroes. Rob Lewis is the Executive Director of Waters Edge Camp and Conference Center. I asked him a few questions about Campmeeting from his perspective. Q. What is your favorite part of Campmeeting? A. My favorite part of campmeeting is the singing. I grew up in small churches and campmeeting was the only time I could hear 1,000 voices singing! Q. What is the hardest part of campmeeting? A. Packing up to go home. Nothing ever fit the same way going home as it did coming to camp. Q. How much effort does it take to prepare and plan for campmeeting ? A. There are so many people involved in campmeeting it is hard to know for sure. Certainly hundreds of hours and we start working for campmeeting at the beginning of Spring! But I know that definitely without volunteers campmeeting would not happen. Continued on back

SERMON NOTES Dr. Manley AM service: Live in the attitude of repentance. Give up a former thought and embrace a new one; God wants to do a new thing.
Dr. Manley PM service: At the heart of every temptation is setting aside the Spirits sourcing and reaching for self sourcing. You cant act, speak, love, or be good enough, so why not let God do it through you.
Bible Study 9:30 am Daily The highway of holiness: What it means to live a holy life. Taught by Dr. Frank Moore From Olivet Nazarene
Continued from front. Q. How have you personally been blessed by campmeeting? A. Campmeeting is a big part of my spiritual heritage. I know God uses various ways to impact people but for me it has been campmeeting that has been a part of all the major spiritual formations and decisions in my life. Q. If there is one thing you could tell the readers about campmeeting what would it be? A. Lets pass this on to the next generation. Lets leave a heritage equal to or greater than what we have been given. Lets not take for granted the work that goes into making this week happen. Lets not forget that it isnt just fun and games but a ministry with a spiritual purpose. Lets remember to lift the workers and volunteers who work to make it all happen up in our prayers, and thank them when you run into them on the grounds. Come back tomorrow for another interview with an unsung hero of campmeeting. Respectfully; Tina Cattane
