Small learning communities are focus in Los Lunas School District

Los Lunas This is the second year of high school reform in the Los Lunas School District. The reform includes intervention time within the school day to help students catch up on assignments and stay on track academically. Were focusing on intentional non-learners, small learning communities and professional learning communities, said Los Lunas Superintendent Bernard Saiz. So, there will be no changes at any level other than just continuing on with what were doing, and getting better at it so it will work better for the students. The high school reform is based on a model developed by Richard DuFour at the Adlai Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Ill. Stevenson High School had a poor record of graduating students, and was located in a rundown neighborhood. DuFour took a position as the schools superintendent, and began a program of reform. It became a model program that would win the school a few blue ribbons. Home buyers became interested in the area because of the school. Saiz has set his sights on improving Los Lunas schools using DuFours model. Students who are labeled intentional non-learners are students with all the brains in the world theyre smart, theyre motivated, but they arent interested in what is being taught, Saiz said. Theyre intentionally not wanting to learn it. Smaller learning communities break students up

There are science, mathematics, engineering and other small learning communities. Fine arts, performing arts might be another one, vocational, Saiz said. It takes different formats, but were continuing to focus on the smaller learning community model at the high school levels. Teachers have their own learning communities where they get together by subject or grade to discuss any issues, problems or concerns in their area
and try to come up with solutions to make it a better environment for the students. The professional learning communities aim to be consistent with teachers in their grade or field and fine tune their teaching approach by pooling their experiences and resources. We will continue with the current curriculum and instructional models weve been using for the last several years, Saiz said. We decided, probably about four or five years ago, that we had gone through such a dramatic change in putting in new curriculum, instructional models and evaluation processes people were just reeling from all these dramatic changes. So, we decided we werent going to add anything new, all we were going to do is just perfect, and continue to work on what we already implemented. Some shifting of staff has occurred at central office. Brian Baca, who was the director of the districts special education, has moved to the position director of personnel and leadership development. The former personnel director, Ron Williams has moved to fill the position Terry Othick resigned from in the IT department. This position will now be called assistant superintendent of operations officer, because Williams holds a school administrator license. Sonia Lawson, the principal of Raymond Gabaldon Elementary, has moved into the position of director of special education. Barbara Carillo, the principal of Los Lunas Elementary School, will take Lawsons place. The Los Lunas Elementary School principal position has not been filled yet.
Los Lunas High School reforms enter second year; remodel to begin

Los Lunas Los Lunas High School has made a paradigm shift from a focus on teaching to a focus on what students are learning. The implementation of high school reform is in its second year, and the journey to become a professional learning community has only just begun. School officials are busy building the safety nets to catch students before they fail, and provide lift off for those who are learning at a faster pace. What we will continue to do at Los Lunas High School is have intervention and enrichment periods scheduled in the daytime, and every student will participate in it, said LLHS Principal Dan Padilla. Its in the morning between our second and third period. The only thing different this year is students who have anything lower than a C will be in intervention. Students will have to maintain a C or higher for four weeks before they can move out of intervention to an enrichment class. We feel we want to do that because that will encourage the students and help them maintain their grades for a longer period of time, Padilla said. Juniors and seniors who have all As or Bs can participate in enrichment, said Leslie Gurule, assistant principal. Enrichment will be specific and focus on a deeper aspect of a subject when there isnt enough time in class, but that the student wishes to pursue. It could be learning more about fractals or carrying out an additional science experiment.
New Valencia High School principal wants students to get serious

Enrichment is specifically designed to add greater scope to academic pursuits, Gurule said. Our biggest focus is on those kids who have done poorly in their reading and math, thats our focus area, Padilla said. So our interventions are going to be based around math, reading and English. The school is implementing a jump-start by looking at students last year grades to help determine who needs to be in intervention or study hall. All freshmen will automatically start in intervention or study hall so school staff can work with them to build study skills, learn note-taking and time management. The kids are assigned to an adviser, Padilla said. That teacher will be the students adviser all four years the student is at Los Lunas High School. Every Monday students will meet with their advisers. Teachers will meet in professional learning communities to collaborate on teaching strategies, student assessments, and other efforts to improve students learning, and catch students in the earliest stages of difficulty to get them the help they need. Our goal this year, were going to have a big focus on teachers developing a common formative assessment, Padilla said. The professional development that we had over the spring this year was focused on training our staff in developing common formative assessments. Formative assessments are like taking the temperature along the way, Gurule said. Thats what teachers will be

doing on Monday morning. What were looking at is not only where we need to get to, but as were moving we stop and assess kids to find out if theyre really picking up what were teaching them, Padilla said. Because if the level is too high, then we need to adjust to bring it down to a level where they can understand it. The high school will continue to have the Testing Center, initiated last year, where students can go during intervention time to make up missed tests. Also, the Career Center that was put in place last year has received all new computers with faster service. Its a place all our students
can go to get information about colleges, universities, military, vocational schools any kind of post-secondary education, Padilla said. The Career Center is manned and operated through the counseling department, and is located next to the school cafeteria. Julie Macaferri-Rodrigues is a new counselor in the department. Were continuing our journey of high school reform by providing as many safety nets as we can for students to be successful, said Padilla. We want to make it harder for students not to do his or her work, than to do it. So, anywhere that a stu-

dent turns, there is going to be somebody there that will try to help that student along. The school has a few new staff this year to replace some who have retired. Kevin Benavidez has come aboard as a new assistant principal, and DNene Luera is a new librarian. New teachers include art teacher Kate Meir; two new English teachers, Ignacio Sanchez and Chris Garcia; a new science teacher, James Harmon; two new math teachers, Tamara Piburn and
Anthony Escajeda. Escajeda, who was a student-teacher last year; and a new agriculture teacher, Cole Andes. The extensive remodel of the school buildings and school grounds will begin in May 2012. There will be two phases of construction, and some awesome new features such as a second level in the fine arts building, a bridge overlooking the cafeteria and a media center with a roof garden. The architects are Greer Stafford/ SJCF Inc.
Tom Valencia High Schools graduation rate increased last year, and the new principal, Colin Taylor, is determined to keep up the momentum. During its second year of high school reform, Valencia High will have 30-minute intervention and enrichment periods built into the school day in the last week of each unit of study. Some of the National Honor Society students will volunteer time to tutor other students. What we want to focus on this year is recognizing academic achievement, Taylor said. We want to create an environment where theyre serious about academics and serious about school. Knowing teenagers Ive been working with teenagers a long time theyre basically physically adults, but emotionally they dont make good decisions, he said. I mean, when I was 17, 18 they say the part of your brain where you start realizing the implications of your decisions doesnt really mature until youre about 27 or 28 for males, and about 25 for females. Students are vulnerable to making shortsighted choices, and seeking
immediate gratification, the principal said. Even though kids think that way, we can help them learn to think longterm, and help them see how their decisions affect their lives, Taylor said. So, we want to tie privileges to grades and attendance. We want to see kids perform and set the conditions for them to perform, and when they do that, theyll be rewarded for those things. School officials want to make it more comfortable for students to do well than not do well. As an example, Taylor said he thinks that if a student drives onto the campus, they should have good grades and good attendance. If you have Ds or Fs, you shouldnt be driving on this campus, Taylor said. Its a privilege, not a right. When I talk about kids making poor decisions, for example, a 16-yearold boy who just got his drivers license and a brand new car is not really that concerned with his academics, and he needs to be concerned about it, Taylor said. We need to put pressure on him to make sure that, Yeah, we want you to drive your car and enjoy your new car, but you need to have good grades as well. School is not a spectator sport, and at Valencia High School students are required to participate in an academic

program. Taylors aim is to help students build on personal achievement and develop follow-through for their goals. I enjoy helping students make positive decisions for their lives, helping facilitate that, Taylor said. Ultimately, they make their own decisions. Over the course of his time in education, students have returned to tell him how he made a difference in their lives. They appreciate how he helped and supported them in making decisions that have affected their lives for the better.
Im sure theres other kids that educators touch that they dont ever know about, he said. Taylor started his career journey in communications with the U.S. Marines Corps. Hes a Hobbs High School graduate, but on his military tour he ended up in the Bronx. He spent six years in the military, then studied political science at City University of New York, earned his bachelors, then moved to Texas where he took up the study of law. During his first year, he realized he wanted to make a difference, but it wasnt in law. He realized he wanted to teach and help young people rather than become a lawyer. He moved back to New Mexico and worked in the Los Lunas School District, starting at Valencia High School when it was the Career Academy. He began working on his masters degree in education administration while he taught. Then I became an assistant principal at Los Lunas High, Taylor said. I worked at Los Lunas High School for a couple of years. When his son, Evan, was born, his wife, Kristin, wanted to move back to South Carolina to be closer to her parents. Taylor took a position as an assistant principal at Clinton High School, and later as the principal of John de la Howe School.
Weve always loved New Mexico, and we started to miss it, Taylor said. So, we decided to move back out here last year. He came on as an assistant principle at Valencia High School, and was named acting principal in December 2010. Taylor was formally assigned to the position last spring. Originally, he planned to get his doctorate and teach college, but discovered high school is where he felt he could make the most impact. Things have changed since he was in high school, he says. The schools and educators find themselves in more and more roles of supporting young people that werent traditionally their roles, Taylor said. Not just education, but providing support emotional support to students. Being a group of folks who really care about young people, and I dont want to say friends or even parents because those are different roles, what I see us as is, being adult mentors, Taylor said. Sometimes boys and girls at this age need someone outside their family circle that can provide support for them, he said. So, things have changed, and I see us not just teaching English and math, but as being supportive of their plans and goals in life.

Los Lunas Century High School offers a flexible schedule for students who wish to work while they earn their diplomas. Were offering a new program this year, said CHS Principal Wilson Holland. We have moved to make this a true alternative school. Regular school hours 7:30 a.m. to 2:43 p.m. TuesdayFriday with only half a day on Tuesdays. Each day could be a half day if the student maintains academic proficiency. The school welcomes and encourages students who arent in school, for whatever reason, to come to Century High School. Students that have been out of school, maybe long-term suspension, were looking at getting them back immediately, and having them enroll at Century High School, said Holland. Getting those kids who may have been in longterm suspensions, or may have been dis-enrolled at one of the other schools, we want to get those kids back here at Century. We want to get them back on track, and hopefully they can transition back into their high schools. Students must be under 18-years old with enough credits to graduate before or not long after their 18th birthday. This is not a program for adults. Were very excited about what has transpired, Holland said. Curriculum and instruction, all of central office including the school board, the superintendent are very supportive of our program. We graduated about 27 seniors last year, which is a high for us. We want kids to come who feel they cannot attend the traditional high schools. This may be a fit for them. high schools. We probably have about 100 students, and six teachers Holland said. It is an alternative way to get the same education as you would get at the other two schools. Credit recovery is offered as well as full-time classes and electronic, E2020 classes. On Mondays, we have implemented the new Distance Learning Academy where students who meet a certain criteria academic cut scores, no discipline issues, no attendance issues, and have high-speed Internet off campus, the principal said. They will be on-site all day on Mondays, but they will work on E2020 Tuesday through Friday, said Holland. So, thats what well be doing on Mondays, well have a different group of kids here on Mondays. The Distance Learning Academy high school has its own building on the campus between Daniel Fernandez Elementary and Century High School.
They have to be enrolled for half of the classes, that is considered a full day for them, said Deborah DominguezClark, director of curriculum. This is something new that were working on, and we have students come on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays for additional support, and thats the time to be on the computer. They have to log in so many hours in order for it to count. Thats their work time. The Distance Learning high school is not an easy program. Students have to be a welloiled, self-disciplined individual to be able to maintain all their academic work. This is for students who dont want to attend a big high school, and want to have a different type of instruction, said Dominguez-Clark. Its another option. There will be a special intervention counselor working with the Distance Learning Academy students and with their families to monitor if the program is working out for them.

Los Lunas Family School adds high school via distance learning

Los Lunas The Family School in Los Lunas has expanded to include high school this year. Home-schooled students can take electronic courses at the Distance Learning Academy now housed in the blue school at 320 Bonita Vista Blvd. Its a continuation of our Family School because Family School ends at eighth grade, said Penny Wharton, the principal of the Family School and Daniel Fernandez Elementary School. In order for them to have some kind of a tie to pub-
lic schools, yet still have the home-school aspect to it, once they hit ninth grade, thats what the Distance Learning will be doing. We wanted to expand it because we were having the need and the requests from our (Family School) parents, said Deborah Dominguez-Clark, director of curriculum. Its just starting. The rooms are being prepared, the computers are already there. Everything is already set up. There will be a combination of live classroom and E2020 cyber academy for grades 9-12. We feel its critical to have a live teacher, Dominguez-

Clark said. Its not strictly all online. All kids dont do well just online, and so we wanted to make sure the core classes have a teacher. Students will be assigned their curriculum lessons on Mondays, and turn in their previous weeks work, which they
will have done at home online. The teacher will check it on Monday. It doesnt mean its closed to them for the rest of the week, she said. It just means that the teacher is available for them at that time. At other times its by appointment.
There will be help all week from other teachers, but the teacher fully dedicated to them is only there on Mondays. Theyll go through the work assignments, discuss, see whats happening, see where theyre at, things like that, said Dominguez-Clark. If theres more assistance needed, then theyll expand on that at another time, but that time is used to review, reflect, instruction, all of that will be happening on Monday. Family Schools elementary and middle school will continue to be overseen by Wharton in the blue school next to Daniel Fernandez Elementary 2 1/2
days a week. Wilson Holland, the principal of Century High School will oversee Family School at the high school level. The two principals will work together to transition students from the eighth-grade level to high school in a seamless process, said Dominguez-Clark. Were hoping this is going to really take off, she said. Its a great program. We still have some more things that they do for students who are returning students. We wanted to customize it for our kids in the community. So, thats what were going to be doing.

Duel enrollment program at UNM-VC can help students earn college credits

Tom A wise person once said, why put off till tomorrow what you can accomplish today? That is the goal of the University of New MexicoValencia Campuss dual enrollment program. The whole purpose is so that students can start earning college credits in high school, said Rita Gallegos-Logan, UNM-VCs director of community education services. The courses they take are usually going to be high school core classes for college credits. This can also save them a lot of money. The campus offers two kinds of dual enrollment for interested students. The first kind is when students come to
the campus. This type of program used to be called concurrent enrollment, Garcia said. The second type of dual enrollment offered by UNMVC, called on-site enrollment, allows students to earn college credits for work done in the classroom. Students in the on-site dual enrollment will enroll in a corresponding web-based UNM-VC course with the high school teacher providing the bulk of the instruction. The college professor will provide supplemental instructional material, require additional assignments and/or examinations and will personally meet with students at the high school site on at least four occasions. Students in UNM-VCs on site dual enrollment program can use the books provided by the high school.
This year, Gallegos-Logan said the college was aligning the college programs with the local high schools career pathways programs, to give students the opportunity to get a head start on earning college credits, getting a degree or certification before they graduate. We are starting the alignment this year, she said. Weve been wanting to expand in that area. Courses such as computer science, computer aided drafting, digital media and information technology would be aligned with the career pathways programs, GallegosLogan said. New to the colleges catalogue and the dual enrollment program is a pre-engineering degree, Gallegos-Logan said. Students will communicate with their professors via
e-mail and WebCT (a webbased classroom management system) using a computer at home or in a high school lab. To qualify as an academic dual enrollment course, the high school course must meet the rigor and competencies of a lower-division college course 100 and 200 level classes. Very often the quality and thoroughness of high school classes meet the universitys requirements. The most obvious qualifying courses are AP courses. Other courses which may qualify for dual enrollment include honors courses where the content and assessment criteria is comparable with that of a UNM lower-division course. For instance, an AP economics at Los Lunas High School would be equal to Economics 105 through the university, and AP calculus
equals Math 162. There is a minimum ACT or SAT score for admission into the math and English dual enrollment program. If a student has not taken either of those standardized tests or did not score high enough, he or she can take a placement exam. For example, an ACT score of 19 to 25 or a placement test score of 78 to 100 will place a student in the universitys English 101 course. Students get college credits from UNM and since the university is fully accredited, the credits earned can be transferred to another school. Students who, for whatever reason, make a grade less than a C or drop the course will receive a grade of W and it will not affect the students future college grade point average.
The majority of students in UNM-VCs dual enrollment program are from Valencia County high schools, Gallegos-Logan said, but the program does serve students as far away as Mountainair, Moriarty, Socorro and Alamo. In the fall of 2009, a total of 390 students were enrolled in dual enrollment classes at the campus and in the spring of 2010, there were 501 students. Dual enrollment lets students start earning the academic credits they would normally take in their first two years of college, GallegosLogan said. Students wishing to register for dual enrollment credit may do so at their individual high schools after the beginning of classes.
Tips to help get back in the homework habit

Los Lunas Back-to-school can be a hectic time of the year as students struggle to get back into study mode after a school-less summer, so some Los Lunas principals offered tips for keeping the stress out of homework time. Mildred Chavez, principal of Sundance Elementary School in Los Lunas, said routine is the most important thing for parents to establish for their children when they return to school. Get the kiddos into a routine immediately, Chavez said. Routine is the key word. Chavez said Sundance Elementary and many other schools in the district did not have summer school this year due to budget cuts, so getting back into the schoolwork routine might be difficult for students. Chavez said she and the staff at Sundance Elementary encouraged students to read a lot over the summer to help them ease back into school mode. Chavez said it is also important for parents to communicate with their childs teacher to understand that teachers expectations when it comes to class work and homework. It is also important for the parent to follow up and to get
feedback from the teacher about the childs progress in the class. Valerie Otero, principal of Los Lunas Elementary School, said letting the child know the importance of homework is also crucial. Let them know that homework is a part of their job as a student, Otero said, that their job right now is to be in school. Otero said students will use some of the same skills they use to complete homework in elementary school in their adult lives.
Bosses expect tasks to be completed, too, Otero said. Its part of being a person of integrity, being successful. Otero said all staff members and teachers have e-mail addresses for easy contact. It is also important for parents to expect that their child has something to do every night, even if homework has not been assigned. Most teachers expect parents to read with their children or have their children read to them every night, Otero said. Both educators said being
involved in the childs education is very important. Monitor their homework, Chavez said. Dont do it for them, but make sure theyre getting it done. Otero said if the child is getting tired or having trouble during homework time, it is important to give the child a short break and to encourage him or her when it is time to continue. Welcome Back to the 2011-12 School Year, Each school year brings with it the opportunity to begin again. Over the summer break we renew the buildings, hire new staff and district leaders, as well as bring in new students to the district. Those students who are returning to Los Lunas Schools will enter classes they have never been in before with new teachers and new friendships to be made. School buses are moving through the streets again and school children are visible everywhere walking to school or being dropped off by parents. It is an exciting and challenging time for everyone. This new school year, Los Lunas Schools will continue along the course we began five years ago utilizing the same instructional models, materials and curricula that was put into place at that time. The math and reading curricula is research-based and data-proven for results. Academic achievement data at the elementary level demonstrates a trend line that shows consistent academic progress over a fiveyear period. Three of our elementary schools are currently testing above the national norm with the majority of the others testing at or slightly below the national norm. Our high schools continue to improve but are not yet where we want them to be. Although we do have students who leave our high schools to attend the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country, the overall data coming out of our high schools continues to need work. That is why we entered into the aggressive and challenging work of reforming our high schools, again, using research-based and data-proven models of high school reform. We will continue for the second year to move forward with implementing and successfully tailoring these models to fit our own high schools. Despite continuing budgetary cuts from the State and Federal Government that funds public schools, we will continue to function at a level that is more productive and effective than when we were funded at much higher levels. With less teachers, administrators and support staff we are committed to never falling behind in the education that we deliver to our students. With less materials, software and equipment we will do everything in our power to ensure that the students of Los Lunas Schools will not fall behind those students enrolled in other public and private schools. We will not let the negative media attention focused on our schools and other schools around the state take our attention from those students who need us and want to learn. Los Lunas Schools is prepared for this new school year with all of the rewards and challenges it will offer us. LOS LUNAS IS OFFERING MORE HIGH SCHOOL CHOICES
Los Lunas Schools Distance Learning Academy

The Los Lunas Distance Learning Academy is an opportunity for families to take advantage of blending classroom instruction with home school instruction, allowing students to benefit from both group and one-on-one approaches and online instruction that increases student success. Students employ distance learning via remote home computer connections to login and receive instruction with our web-based curriculum. On Mondays, students will participate in math lab, language arts lab, small group instruction and one-on-one tutoring. Physical Education will also be offered on Mondays to those students who need to complete the PE requirement. Students are also encouraged to enroll in Dual Credit or Concurrent Enrollment courses at UNM-VC and receive college and high school credit simultaneously. The Distance Learning Academy will assess students using MAP (Measurement of Academic Performance) in order to meet students individualized needs in math and language arts. In addition, assessments tied to the online curriculum allow teachers to assist students to achieve 70% mastery with the online learning platform that is available to them 24 hours seven days a week. Students must become efficient managers of time and effort to achieve 100% completion of their assigned coursework within the Distance Learning Academys semester and yearly time frame. Parent/guardian participation and support are needed and encouraged.

High School Student Dress Code

It is the desire of Los Lunas Schools to display to the public at all times a proper standard of conduct, dress, attitude, courtesy, and friendliness on the part of each student, which will be above reproach or criticism. The public will judge our school on the basis of any and all of these characteristics as found in each student at all times. Therefore, in keeping with the above aim, a students appearance, mode of dress and/or cleanliness should not disrupt the educational process or constitute a threat to safety. If, in an administrators judgment, a students appearance, mode of dress, and/or cleanliness is distracting and disruptive to the educational process, or constitute a threat to safety or acceptable standards of sanitation or does not meet the following regulations, the student will be required to make the requested modifications. Prohibited Dress: Clothing, jewelry, or hairstyles disruptive to the learning environment, such as muscle shirts, undershirts, or clothing that is shredded, off the shoulder, low-cut, see-through or too short. Bib overalls must have both straps attached appropriately. No tank tops or spaghetti straps are allowed. Sleeveless are allowed if entire shoulder is covered. Pants worn below the waist in a manner that exposes underwear, bare skin, or which are excessively baggy/saggy. Pants should not be wider than feet are long. Shorts or skirts which are higher than the students extended fingers when standing straight. Shirts/tops which expose skin when arms are stretched up to shoulder high. You may use any computer with internet access to fill out the online application. Children from families whose income level is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free or reduced price meals. Application forms are being sent to all homes, along with a letter to households. To apply for free or reduced price meals, households should fill out one application for the household and return it to the school. Additional copies are available at the principal's office in each school. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year. The information provided by the household is confidential; it will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility. Information may be verified at any time during the school year by school or other program officials. For the school officials to determine eligibility, each household that is now receiving SNAP benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly the Food Stamp program) or that is on the Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP) must provide its SNAP case number or FITAP number as well as the signature of an adult household member. Directly Certified Households Households that receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly the Food Stamp program) or FITAP benefits may be directly certified to receive free meals. These households are not required to complete an application, and will be notified by school officials of their eligibility. SNAP and TFAP households should complete an application if they are not notified of their eligibility by 15 August 2011. School officials determine whether households are directly certified to receive free meals based on documentation obtained directly from the SNAP/FITAP office, which will certify that a child is a member of a household currently receiving SNAP benefits or an assistance unit receiving FITAP benefits. Households who are notified of their eligibility but do not want their children to receive free meals must contact the school. Under the provisions of the free and reduced price policy, Angela Haney (Determining Official) will review applications and determine eligibility. PAYING FOR MEALS: Federal Government regulations do not allow Student Nutrition to provide meals free of charge to students who do not qualify for free meals. All students have an account set up based on his/her student ID number. Meals can be prepaid to the Student Nutrition cashier by the day, week, month or year. Student Nutrition accepts cash, money orders or personal checks. If you wish to use a personal check, Los Lunas Schools requires that you complete a check application. The application may be obtained from the school secretary or Student Nutrition cashier. You may also pay for student meals online at www.mylunchmoney.com. This site allows parents to set up an account for each child and pay for school meals with a debit or credit card. It works just like paying bills online. You will be able to check the amount of money on your childs account and see if he/she ate. If interested, please call the Student Nutrition Office for more details. Students may charge up to ten meals at elementary schools, five meals at middle schools, and two meals at high schools. Once the charging limit is met, students will be offered an alternative meal consisting of a cheese or peanut butter sandwich and a juice. Cashiers will be reminding students and sending letters home that the student owes money for meals. Additionally, parents may also receive phone calls from the school cashier or our automated calling system to remind them of their unpaid charges or low account balance. No meals will be allowed to be charged after 30 April 2012. For account balance information, you may call the cashier at your childs school, the Student Nutrition Office, or check online at www.mylunchmoney.com.
