signed to broaden your understanding of the problems and opportunities of this era of

But beyond your gaining a better understanding of aviation education, it is my hope
your cadet training will improve your leadership ability, moral integrity, and your
capacity to be, in the near future, a productive citizen of our country. But don't forget
this -- to be a successful CAP cadet, or citizen, you must "pat in" some effort.

This cadet training logbook and guide has two primary purposes. First, it is in-
tended to serve as your individual logbook or training record, As you progress through
Phase 1, Il, and Ill of your cadet training program, you will record in this book the
dates you complete the training requirements, Page | is your Phase I log; pages 27-28
your Phase II log; page 29 your Phase If log,
Second, the information in Chapter One will serve you 2s a general source of in-
formation coaceraing cadet matters, All of the information you will need to pass your
Phase I examination is contained in the first chapter.
Remember this is your logbook, which you will maintain for your own information.
The CAP Form 66, "CAP Cadet Master Record" is the official training zecord which
is in the custody of your cadet squadron commander (commandant of cadets),
