150. Perceptions are attributes of the Spirit, which can therefore escape from them, that is, he can see and hear only what you want, especially if an elevated spirit, because the imperfect often hear and see, like it or not, what may be helpful to the improvement. (L.E., 250) 151. Music of the Earth is to the celestial music of the wild as the song is for a soft melody. The heavenly music, which is all that the spiritual imagination can conceive of more beautiful and gentle, has, for spirits, infinite charms, because of their highly developed sensory qualities. (L.E., 251) 152. There are spirits who take from the beginning, a path that departs from much evidence. But he who is led astray all the runs of the same dangers. One Spirit, for example, may request and this wealth be given, so according to his character, he may become a miser or a spendthrift, selfish or generous, or indulge in the pleasures of sensuality. (L.E., 261) 153. All spirits say, wandering in the state, seeking, study, observe, to make their choices. The Spirit can therefore choose the proof rougher and, consequently, the most painful existence with the hope of soon reaching a better

state, as the patient chooses the more unpleasant medicine to heal faster. (L.E., 266) 154. Until it reaches a state of perfect purity, the Spirit has to go constantly for evidence, but they are not always material tribulations. Reached a certain degree, even without being perfect, the Spirit has nothing to suffer, but has duties that help to improve and that are not burdensome for him, as the task of helping others improve themselves. (L.E., 268) 155. Vocations and the will to pursue a career rather than another are a consequence of the choice of evidence and the progress made earlier. (L.E., 270) 156. There are worlds where the coarsening and ferocity beyond anything that exists on Earth. The evolution is slow and gradual. No one can traverse the distance of a jump that separates barbarism from civilization. (L.E., 271) 157. A man belonging to a civilized race can, for atonement, reincarnated in a savage race, but it depends on the kind of atonement. A man who has been hard for their slaves could become a slave, in turn, and suffer the mistreatment inflicted on others. It may also happen that a good spirit, among these people, choose to be born, to advance, and this will be a mission. (L.E., 273)

A. Spirits experience the needs and sufferings that affect men?
They know them because they have suffered, but not the experience, materially, as embodied beings. During this phase, God supplies the inexperience, tracing the path that you must follow, as parents do with their children. But it leaves the Creator, but little by little, as your free will develops, you proceed to the choice and only then is that often happens to you astray, taking the wrong path, for failing to satisfy the advice from good spirits.
