Marketing Manager Trade & Marketing Maersk Line

Reporting to: Head Trade & Marketing India Cluster Department: Trade and Marketing Location: Mumbai Nature and Scope: Accountable locally for the input to market intelligence tools and databases that will simplify line decision making in line with short and long term strategy. To focus on developing new customer segments and marketing initiatives Ensure market intelligence is translated into action for sales Identify business opportunities short and long term based on market feedback and intelligence Provide guidance for local strategy through market, trade and customer segment analysis Develop go-to market plan annually with revisions throughout the year Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Maersk Line products in the market

Major Accountabilities: Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market Sales enablement Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products Product launch Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan Market intelligence Be the expert on Maersk Line buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on competition Demand generation Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information To ensure high quality and timely information is produced with specific focus on market intelligence reports and periodic sales performance reports, market identification and market shares. Translate the market intelligence into information usable for coaching/ training on data retrieval and joint initiatives with Sales To ensure coordination and assistance to area market intelligence is duly exercised with focus on following areas: o To ensure detailed competition analysis is developed and readily available for use. o To keep company, customer and country profiles up to date. o Ensure active participation on area to area dialogues for preparation of budgets, business plans, market analysis and business targets. o Facilitate identification of target markets and commodities according to market potentials and evolutions. Strategic focal point to string managers o Share business and business development opportunities around customer, market and product segments based on market intelligence and market feedback o Share insights on customer segment needs and possible opportunities o Share details on competitor movements, strengths, weaknesses and recommendations on products, services and financial capabilities Sales guidance and interaction o Providing guidance for sales channel strategy through market, trade and customer analysis o Support the sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities through market and customer analysis Drive global and local campaigns o Convert trade and market knowledge into development of relevant campaigns o Convert trade knowledge into market opportunities and input to campaigns

Experience: We are looking for candidates with 6 - 7 years of marketing experience with at least 2 years experience in a field facing role. Skill sets: Very strong written communication skills

Excellent people and management skills to liaison with major stakeholders to get inputs for campaigns and improvements including colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties. Ability to identify competitive trends and provide recommendations on how to take advantage of the same Proficiency in consulting techniques, research, analysis and assessment of information, dissemination of communication and insights to key decision makers. Ability to influence and willingness to challenge status quo Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals. Proven ability to oversees all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities Experience in integrated marketing communications - especially business to business campaigning Experience in communication for different media channels (press release, websites, sales support materials, customer campaigns, news media ) Experience in handling press

Preferable experience in shipping/logistics/FMCG. Education: Bachelors/Masters degree
