VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE

The world is a big stage in which everyday people are acting to facilitate the successful embrace of variety. Everyone envisage variety in the same way as one envisages human life. World as a whole hits the steep parts of variety curve i.e. variety come faster than most of us dare to imagine but we happily and readily accept it. Where would the world be without a little Variety? If people didn't stand out and try something new? The answer to these questions lies in English proverb It takes all sorts to make a world. It means that all people are different and the world would be incomplete if everyone were alike. Diversity is essential. Right since the beginning of existence, human beings have always been keen to find out different things or characteristics that could not only fulfill their demands but could also add new flavour to their life. And in the pursuit of those flavours human beings ruled the era, becoming the most intelligent brain among the living species.

Climbing up the steps of evolution, this tool of variety and diversity became the limelight of success for the human generation. As said by William Cowper Variety is the spice of life that gives all its flavours. The relationship between variety and life can be best described as work and progress. Invention as a noun has a unique attribute variety from the point of view of progress. Imagine the scenario after the invention of bullock cart; if human brain became devoid of variety, we would have been still carrying a whip to reach our destinations. It is true that necessity is the mother of invention but variety has a great role to play in it. A saying goes, When our old Pleasures die, some new One still is nigh; Oh! Fair Variety! This implies that variety is an indispensable part of inventions.

Variety is the greatest driving force in man which helps him sail through all the tedium in the life thereby rejuvenating it to a great extent. The result of this new found enthusiasm can be quite profitable. The very construct that underlines this fact is the weekends, which provide a power and zeal to work for the upcoming five days. Referring to variety, Marcus Fabius Quintilian Roman rhetorician from Hispania said that, It is easier to do many things than to do one thing continuously for a long time . A somewhat similar viewpoint had been put forward by Petrarch when he said, Sameness is the mother of disgust, variety the cure. Tenacity of purpose is in most cases guarantee of ultimate success. On the other hand a man, who is unvarying, sees a gray scaled life; as a result he loses enthusiasm and fails to carve out the path of success. This is because he utterly lacks the most essential requirement of life i.e. variety. Hence, during lifespan one should never be soporific. On the contrary, it goes with the saying Life is an art and art is a well architected combination of variety with different styles and shades of colours.

Various examples from day-to-day life can be cited as a testimony to the importance of variety. As an evidence to support the idea, earlier people used to paint their houses white, which was then replaced by different colours in different rooms and now, the need of variety has touched the sky; all the four walls in a room are of different colours. These diverse colour combinations provide a positive energy and zeal to work and live life to its fullest. 20-Twenty, the real entertainment of cricket was introduced to add variety and remove irksomeness of Test and One-day matches. These examples prove that a literal outlook in life is the essence of variety. After all, variety is the spice of life.

Variety envisages a multilevel approach towards life i.e. to innovate new things and architect them in the bedrock of life. It is the treasure that lies within us. One must learn to live with diverse views and values in this world of diversity. Variety adds magic to life. A Russian proverb says, Variety is not in walking on earth but is in to fly in air or walk on water. It is of utmost importance i.e. it is all the power, all the miracle, all the sprit that ever is, was and will be.

Any man who pursues his ideals with variety is sure to gain the successful make up of a worldly experience. There are numerous people whose lives are classic instances of triumph of the variety. Not to forget Amitabh Bachchan, the great bollywood star, is standing today on the feat of success just because of versatility. Indias first Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore must be appreciated for the versatile brain he portrayed in his poetries. Thus idea is to put our heart and soul completely into marshmallows of life coated with sugary variety, which will in turn help us to enjoy and love whatever we do.

Monotonous, soporific, unvarying, uneventful, etc. are some words of the English language, which constitute the antithesis to the concept of variety. When any of these words come to epitomize the life of an individual, his or her life becomes dramatically insipid. These words are not entirely hypothetical and are quit possible in real life as well. What happens then? Would we be able to run with such words or would it actually affect us? Majority of us would say it obviously would affect us and that too, in a big way. A person cant intake the same food for four meals in a day. Everyone needs a change of taste which can satisfy his hunger and flavours. It is only this power of variety that helped

us to prepare a wide range of dishes, with exotic tastes. This can be supported by the lines of Jean Richter, Variety of mere nothing gives more pleasure than uniformity of something. At most time people fail to realize this simple fact that a little dose of variety does not just lighten up the drab day-to-day monotype, it serves us in various other ways as well. By bringing in some small, mice changes into our daily life, we can increase our capability manifolds.

With one foot grounded in time honored traditions and the other fervently striding into the entrepreneurial e-age, India embraces diversity passionately, as few other countries on earth could. For us Indians, India itself is the astonishing example of variety. India presents itself in such a dizzying creative burst of culture and religions, races and tongues, spices and cuisines. Every aspect of the country presents itself on a massive, exaggerated scale, worthy in comparison only to the superlative mountains that overshadow it. It is this variety which provides a breathtaking ensemble for experiences i.e. uniquely Indian. So, when we put the question to someone: Do you appreciate versatile India? Pay attention to the answer. For the answer will not only show the essential equation of India but also their inclination towards variety.

In a discussion on variety in life the focus should be laid on its importance. It holds the priceless position in our life. Can we ever imagine a single coloured rainbow? The very site of this imagination is horrifying. Variety is that essential factor which provides enthusiasm, refreshment, enrichment, pleasure which in turn are the key factors for success. Variety is the base of the manner of healthy living, not a branch which has been

pondered increasingly from ages and ages hence and necessity of broadening it up and adopting different things differently has bestowed the life full of variety which adds spice and flavour. As said by Aphra Behn, Variety is the soul of pleasure. Its need and importance can be well understood from the diverse lifestyle of the upcoming generation. Variety is not a luxury that only a few may indulge in. It is vital to human existence and their interaction. As, per the human nature, everyone wants pleasure in their life. No pleasure endures unseasoned by variety. We never admire static things. Music, clothes, food, work etc. cant be enjoyed without variety. Life is a movement, and the movement needs a momentum. Variety is the momentum.

Thus, it can be concluded with another pithy saying, variety is not preparation for life; variety is life itself. As a world we want variety, we want result, change and the next big thing, we want it now. Variety is that golden tool which when grown exponentially, will help the world to take faster steps towards the heaven of success. From this point of view it becomes clear that variety has an intimate relationship with life. In the ultimate analysis, the need of the variety is thoughtfully doled out indigenous packages that can ensure the availability of the principle rule of life.
