Imagine the classroom is an office workplace. Go to page61, Appendix A and work through th Hazard Identification e Checklist. Answer with a yes or no or give a brief statement. (You can copy the text using the Text Select Tool. (Note: not all items in checklist may applyor simply open Appendix Aselected hazards in word.docx which has the text copied for you.)
1.13 No Getting employees and people to concentrate fortasks more than two hours shouldn t be necessary since people attention span wouldn t last as long and also they would eventually start to lose interest. Regular breaks are recommended. 1.14 Yes

1.15 Yes Repetitive tasks such as using a computer should be performed for short periods. They are best interspersed with other tasks requiring different movements and postures such as collecting the documents at the printer, reviewing, photocopying and distributing documents.

6.1 Yes There is enough room for general activity and traffic since the photocopy room isnt there. 6.11 Yes The equipment and operator have sufficient room. 6.2 Yes The walkways are sufficient 6.2.1 Yes there is sufficient space for light foot traffic 6.2.2 Yes there is sufficient circulation for each workspace. 6.3 Yes there are separate areas that require dedicated space. 6.3.1 No there isnt a separate area for photocopying.
Workstations
7.1 Yes All workstations are adequate for the tasks being performed. (computer work) 7.1.1 Yes Sufficient gap between computers ensures gap for papers. 7.1.2 Yes Keyboards are easily accessible and have adjustable height in order to suite the individuals needs. 7.1.3Yes All Chairs and keyboards are adjustable to people needs. 7.1.4. Yes All workstations are setup in the same way and is setup simply to avoid any awkward postures and the rotating chairs assist people when they need to turn around.
7.2 Yes, the tasks being performed include typing and clicking of the mouse and nothing more apart from looking at sheets of paper.
7.3. Yes 7.3.1 Yes Since the height of chairs and keyboard is adjustable it would suite a wide variety of sized people. 7.3.2Yes The depth and width of each of the computers placement are arranged so that there is sufficient space for the people to perform a variety of tasks on without much hassle. 7.3.3Yes Yes all provisions for sitting at this desk are within the reach of the user within the workspace for the tasks being perform ed. 7.4 There are no standing workstations. 7.4.1 Yes, the chairs are indeed stable in access and egrees 7.4.2 Yes The chairs have adjustable heights. 7.5 There are no visitors chairs n/a

11.1 No new LCD VDUs are being used which are in very good condition. 11.1.1 The old VDUs are not being used so hence the need for radiation isnt required. 11.1.2 No staff arent located any a 1 meter direction of a VDU
