I have a favorite scripture that I would like to share with you. It is D&C 76:22-23 22 And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives! 23 For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father There are two reasons I like this scripture: The first is if you read it closely you notice the word we used several times. So often we think of the Father and the Son only revealing themselves to Joseph in the Sacred Grove. But in reading this it says we over and over, a Testimony which WE give of HIM and For WE saw HIM and WE heard. Have you ever thought about who the WE are. The Prophet Joseph and Sidney Rigdon. Not only did our Father in Heaven reveal himself to Joseph in the Grove, but also to Joseph and Sidney while he was working on the translation of the bible. The second reason I like this scripture is it helps me to keep focused and working hard towards salvation. Consider Sidneys positions in the Church, his closeness with the prophet and all of the miracles that he witnessed in person. He saw the Father and the Son, how much more witness could one person want. Now consider that he stopped following the Saviors counsel and left the Gospel. What did he give up, how could he do it? When you consider that someone in Sidneys position could let the Gospel slip from his grasp; how diligent do we have to be? The Stake Presidency has given you 10 steps to help you Stay on the Path. Use those steps and you will be able to over come all things. I bear you this witness in the name of Jesus Christ.

"Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. It is looking beyond physical appearances to attributes that will not dim through time. It is resisting the impulse to categorize others. - Thomas S. Monson
