To make the best use of this guide, I suggest that you don’t try to
read it all at once but little by little. You can also use it to check the
pronunciation of a new french word that you encounter.

La prononciation est un problème que beaucoup de

personnes rencontrent quand elles commencent à apprendre
le français. En lisant un mot, il est parfois difficile de deviner
comment il se prononce à l’oral. Beaucoup de lettres ne se
prononcent pas, d’autres se prononcent complètement
différemment. C’est parfois perturbant. Ne vous inquiétez
pas si vous êtes un peu perdu, c’est normal !
Correct pronunciation is a problem that many people encounter
when they start to learn french. When you read a word, it is hard to
guess how it should pronounced. Many letters are silent, others are
pronounced in a completely different way. It can be confusing. If
you’re feeling lost, don’t worry, it is normal !

Dans ce guide, je vais vous expliquer la prononciation

française de A à Z et vous aider à construire une base solide
pour la suite de votre apprentissage.
Certains sons peuvent être complètement nouveaux pour
vous et sembler impossible à prononcer. Ne soyez pas trop
durs avec vous-mêmes. En pratiquant régulièrement, vous
réussirez à améliorer votre prononciation en un rien de
temps!
In this guide, I will explain French pronunciation from A to Z and
help you build a strong fondation to develop your french learning.
Some sounds may be completely new and might seem impossible
for you to pronounce. Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you practice
frequently, you will improve your pronunciation in no time!

Mon conseil pour vous : pour vraiment améliorer votre

accent, c’est la répétition qui va vous aider. Essayez d’écouter
beaucoup de chansons françaises et de les apprendre par
coeur. N’hésitez pas non plus à écouter des vidéos de
personnes qui parlent en français et à tout simplement
répéter ce qu’elles disent.
My tip for you : to really improve your accent, repetition is key. Try
to listen to many french songs and to memorize them. Try also to
watch videos of french speaking people and simply repeat what
they say after them.

Les vowels peuvent aussi parfois avoir des accents : À, Â,

En français on utilise le son /e/

et le son / ɛ /. La différence entre
les deux est très légère. Ne vous inquiétez pas
d'avoir une prononciation absolument parfaite.
Selon l'accent de la région les deux sons sont
intervertibles.

In French, we have the sound /e/

and the sound / ɛ /.
The difference between the two is very subtle. Don't
worry too much about having a perfect pronunciation
here, depending on the region, these two sounds are
interchangeable.
