Bienvenid Lumbera
Bienvenid Lumbera the creator of the Filipino Literature form a global perspective challenge to the teacher was an amazing man he explains how and why about literature, he wants to expand the learning of all filipinos in terms of literature. The essay he made was very meaningful to all of us. It brings the past happenings on our history and culture. While reading the photo copied essay it gives me many imaginative thoughts and learnings about literature and histories. He featured some poems, stories and novels in his essay and those poems, stories and novelswere known to all of us filipinos. First is the May Bagyo Ma't Rilim this is not a story neigther a novel but a poem, it is known to the spaniards but the true man who composed this poem was identified by his marked TAGALOG. This poem has educational points that can be used in studying literature. Second is the Ang Mahal Na Passion Ni Jesu Christo P. Natin still the passion is the same as the first one, the passion written in poem. Aquino De Belen's poem version was honored and become recondite and an anonymous poet undertook the task of revising the original poem. Lumbera manege to search these information himself it really proves that he is a man with eagerness and courage to know more about our histories and literatures. The third is a metrical romance or a novel titled Florante and Laura, it seemed no more than a popular acclaimed metrical romance immitating spanish works, with nothing to do with political aspirations of the elite for change in the colony. Florante and Laura took on a political dimension which dovetailed with the concern of the elite. Florante and Laura is best studied as an apolitical poem that gathered political content as it traveled via oral tradition amo the populace of the nineteeth century. Florante and Laura is profitably studied as semonstration of transformation orality can occasion for literature that powerful evokes association about pain and joy in actual life. And the last essay the Noli and Fili, they are novels that first published in 1887 and it's sequel in 1891. Noli and the Fili have been read as Jose Rizal's statement on how the colonial's reformed and revolutioned. Noli is about the young man Crisostomo Ibarra who would bring about change colony by educating the young to be on par with the colonizers. Fili is about the rescue of Maria Clara by Crisostomo Ibarra that change his named into Simuon. What a brilliant creation of Bienvenid Lumbera all of the contents are trully amazing and made by a true loving literature filipino.
