First of all, we would like to express our whole-hearted thanks to our almighty GOD for giving us wisdom and helping us finish our study. We thank him for giving us the patience and determination to finish this study successfully.

We would also like to extend our heart felt gratitude to Dr Jannet Delmundo Tan, Medical Doctor and Asuncion Balesado, RN, MAN, acting Chief Nurse of Ospital ng Maynila for accepting us whole-heartedly in the hospital for us to have our duty.

Introduction An autoimmune disease in which the medium-sized blood vessels throughout the body become inflamed, which is known as Kawasaki disease. In our case study, we will know the etiology of Kawasaki disease, nursing responsibility sign and symptoms and health teaching regarding about the nursing care for patients who has this disease. Kawasaki disease is an illness that involves the skin, mouth, and lymph nodes, and most often affects kids under age 5. The cause is unknown, but if the symptoms are recognized early, kids with Kawasaki disease can fully recover within a few days. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart

Significance of the Case Study Client and Family The study will help in the identification and understanding the patient condition, this study will serve as a guide and therefore create its management Nursing Student This case study will serve as a useful reference to understand the physiology and pathophysiology of Kawasaki disease, what are the risk factor considered to perform the procedure and appropriate post operative care.
