DAMAGE IN TRANSPORTATION
All packages should be closely examined at time of delivery. If damage is apparent write “Damage In
Shipment” on ALL copies of the freight or express bill BEFORE delivery is accepted or “signed for” by
a GE representative or hospital receiving agent. Whether noted or concealed, damage MUST be
reported to the carrier immediately upon discovery, or in any event, within 14 days after receipt, and the
contents and containers held for inspection by the carrier. A transportation company will not pay a claim
for damage if an inspection is not requested within this 14 day period.
Call Traffic and Transportation, Milwaukee, WI (262) 827-3468 or 8*285-3468 immediately after
damage is found. At this time be ready to supply name of carrier, delivery date, consignee name, freight
or express bill number, item damaged and extent of damage.
Complete instructions regarding claim procedure are found in Section “S” of the Policy And Procedures
Bulletins.
The purchaser of GE equipment shall only utilize qualified personnel (i.e., GE’s field engineers,
personnel of third-party service companies with equivalent training, or licensed electricians) to perform
electrical servicing on the equipment.
GE Medical Systems employees should use the Customer Quality Assurance (CQA) System to report
all documentation omissions, errors or suggestions.

Parts Required
Two Type Of B/W Printer are Supported in LOGIQ 3.
NOTE: Fixture for B/W Printer has to be ordered along with the B/W printer for all models except
Europe Model -H41702LD

Procedure
READ and UNDERSAND these instructions thoroughly before proceeding with the installation. Perform
each step in sequence and check it off when completed. If a problem occurs after completion, go back
through the procedure and check for implementation errors before contacting your Ultrasound Region
Engineer or the Online Center.
CAUTION Possible Operational damage. Failure to strictly follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)
precautions during this installation may cause constant or intermittent operational
abnormalities. Strictly follow all precautions.

7.) Fix back the B/W printer tray rear cover by fixing two screws only for Transverse.

1.) Plug the system and turn the Main Breaker/system power ON.
2.) Turn the B/W Video Printer ON.
NOTE: Refer to B/W Video Printer users manual for the details.
1.) Make sure that parameters are set properly using buttons on the front control panel as shown in
Table 1-5.
NOTE: The selected mode is displayed on the left side of the indicator and set value is displayed on
the right side of the indicator as shown in Figure 1-14. Minus value is indicated by “.” like “.9”.
a.) Press the bright buttons (arrow buttons) of BRT on the B/W Printer control panel to adjust the
brightness.
b.) Press the contrast buttons (arrow buttons) of CONT on the B/W Printer control panel to adjust
the contrast.
c.) Press the Gamma Curve button on the B/W Printer control panel to adjust the Gamma Curve.
Each time the button is pressed, the indicator and value is switched. Press any other button to
save the value.

Make sure that the parameters are set properly using buttons and knobs on the front control panel as
shown in Table 1-6 on page 12.
Brightness Contrast
1.) Press Open button on the control panel as shown in Figure 1-15 to open the device cover.
2.) Make sure that the parameters are set properly using buttons and knobs on the front control panel
as shown in Table 1-6 on page 12. Refer to Figure 1-15 and Figure 1-16 for the locations of each
parameters.

1.) Make sure that parameters are set properly using buttons on the front control panel as shown
2.) Press Open button on the control panel as shown in Figure 1-15 to open the device cover.
NOTE: The Product Locator Card indicated in Figure 1-21 may be different from the actually provided
on.
2.) Properly dispose of any excess material in accordance with current GE Medical System policy.
3.) Once all peripherals are installed, ensure that the operation of the LOGIQ™ 3 is verified once again
by performing the functional checks. Refer to Functional Checks in Chapter 4, LOGIQ™ 3 Service
Manual, 2300749.
4.) Ensure that each peripheral operates properly from the LOGIQ™ 3 keyboard, peripheral’s own front
panel. Inform the customer of proper peripheral operation.
5.) Keep this documentation with LOGIQ™ 3 Service Manual for feature reference.
6.) This completes the installation of the LOGIQ™ 3 B/W Video Printer option.
