Some learnings, comments, connections... I nd religion to be a domain of judgment where I cannot completely reconcile myself as either a relativist or an evaluativist. I think that ones decision when it comes to choosing a world view about religion depends heavily on the faith that one has, which can go one way or the other. At the moment, Im not sure what to believe about my religion and my faith because of all the questions left unanswered and all the questions raised from newfound analytical processes. On the other hand, the other domains of judgment call for me to be evaluativist, except perhaps in Mathematics, which is not mentioned in the tables because I am Absolutist there. Since Math exists almost completely in theory, the basic premises that it assumes cant really be contested. All the other domains of judgment are more grounded in real life, so its easier to weigh out evidence because there is actual evidence and context. For religion, I dont think I want to believe it is just theory, like Math, but I cannot bring myself to believe that it can be the only truth. Im not sure what my dilemma says about me as a person, but its something that I have to gure out on my own terms.
