Today is Fr. Marks last Sunday with us. We thank you Fr. Mark for ministering to us these past weeks and we hope to see you back on Montserrat many times in the future. # 5: Revised translation of the Roman Missal

On November 27, 2011, the First Sunday of Advent, this new translation will be implemented for use in the Churchs liturgy. Changes are in bold print. Today we look at the new wording of The Apostles Creed. Instead of the Nicene Creed, especially during Lent and Easter, the Baptismal Symbol of the Roman Church, known as the Apostles Creed may be used. I believe in God, the Father almighty. Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church. the communion of saints. the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Father, all the elements of nature obey your command. Calm the storms that threaten us, and turn our fear of Your Power into Praise of Your Goodness. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ who Lives and Reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever, Amen.
