Part Three: CLASS DISCUSSION Part Four: PROCESSING After the class discussion, indicate your epistemological world view (or theory of knowledge) per domain. Domains social sciences Item #s 4, 8, 9, 12 Your world view evaluativist Remarks
There can be many theories but one can show more important ndings. Social sciences are similar to the nat. Sci. In the sense that there can be different explanations but one is more correct than the other. I feel that religion is more relativist since each person may have their own belief, but all of their beliefs point to peace. I feel that the arts are more for evaluativists since the concept of beautiful art is dependent on one persons appreciation of the art, but though this may seem relative, there are standards in art that make art works nicer than others. Morality can have many theories but only one can make sure the human race still exist

Learnings, questions, comments, connections to TOK? One thing I learned that I had previously had no idea of was the fact that absolutist and relativist stances are rather lazy answers, and when I thought about it, each of the areas of knowing deserve to be given an evaluativist stance. Ive was surprised to learn that though my class may be predominantly relative when it comes to art, and yet they are all unable to answer our teachers question with regards to why there are certain types of art that no one deems to be beautiful and why there are classical pieces of art. This inability to answer could suggest that there really are standards to art and that it is not purely subjective.
