    1. PURPOSE OF THE UTILITY


    Robot Office applications till version 21.0 use Robobat protection system. The goal of this feature is to allow those prior versions of Robot Office applications to use the new Autodesk license, installed with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 Professional. Protection keys used for Robot Office applications will be migrated to a new system of Autodesk licenses. The utility is available only for Robot Office version 20.1 and later.

    2. FUNCTIONALITY OF THE UTILITY


    Robobat protection system serves several ways of licensing. The following scenarios must be managed properly for local protection keys: 1. single dongle migration 2. migration of several dongles. The document describes the most typical type of license migration: a single dongle migration.

    3. DESCRIPTION OF THE MIGRATION OF A SINGLE DONGLE


    To start license migration run the License migration wizard. Note: Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 Professional must be installed on the same machine.

    Click Next to continue license migration.

    Select the first option from the above dialog box (I want to migrate license from a dongle to license of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010) and click Next.

    Insert the dongle to an appropriate computer port and click Next. The dongle is automatically detected.

    The wizard has detected the dongle connected to the computer. Select Yes if you want to migrate the former license to the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis license. Click Next.

    The dongle has been migrated into the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis license. You have to disconnect a dongle from the computer. A new license has been successfully installed on your computer.

    4. LIMITATIONS
    The utility will allow usage of Robot Office version 20.1 and 21.0 on the same machine as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis. When a user returns dongles they will not be able to run earlier than V20.1 version of Robot Office - if users wish to run these legacy products then they should contact their accredited Autodesk VAR to discuss options. Note: Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010 Professional must be installed on the same machine.
