The Archbishops Annual Appeal is an annual campaign to help fund the work of the Archbishops chancery, i.e., its offices and their various ministries throughout north and central Georgia. Among other things, the Archbishops Annual Appeal helps to:

Provide training and resource support for catechists teaching the children of our parish about their faith. Provide funding and education for priests serving in our parish and also takes care of retired priests after many years of faithful service. Provide pre-marital counseling retreats for engaged couples and also marital counseling for couples in crisis. Provide some funding for Catholic Charities of Atlanta specifically for immigration legal services. Provide funding for prison and jail ministries. Provide funding for campus ministry programs at area colleges and universities.

ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED!


There will be an Annual Altar Server Meeting and New Altar Server Training, Sunday, September 11th (New date), after noon mass, from 1:30 to 4:00pm in the church. OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CANCER HOME RAFFLE TICKETS


Tickets for the auxiliary drive fund for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home will be sold the weekends of August 27th and 28th and September 3rd and 4th after all masses. The Prizes this year are $500 cash, Browns Jewelry valued at $500 or an iPad 2. Tickets are $5.00 a book for 6 tickets or $1.00 per ticket. CONTEMPORARY MUSIC CHOIR


The 9:00am Contemporary Music Group seeks musicians, pianist, electric guitarist, wind and string instruments. Experienced musicians need to be able to sight read, meet at 8:00am on Sunday mornings and two Thursday night practices per month. Commitment for most Sundays and 6:00pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Mass. You will be off July and part of August. GREAT ADVENTURE BIBLE TIMELINE 2.0 BIBLE STUDY FOR MEN AND WOMEN
St. Andrews will offer Jeff Cavins THE GREAT ADVENTURE Bible Timeline Study 2.0 video series beginning Tuesday mornings in September. This is a course that will put all the details of the bible into a format that you can remember and that makes sense. With great practical aids, spiritual insights, and humor, Jeff Cavins uses his gift for teaching to bring out the meaning and power of this ancient and ever new book. The course is Tuesday mornings from 1011:30am, beginning September 13. Because there are 24 sessions, we will start, then break for the Christmas season, and finish in the spring. $45 fee for materials. The 2.0 edition has new graphics, improved sound and HD. FRIDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

This study is by Stephen K. Ray and R. Dennis Walters. We will also be watching a video by Stephen Ray which is called Peter Keeper of the Keys. ST. MARTIN DE PORRES HOMELESS SHELTER
St. Martin de Porres will be going downtown Sunday, August 28th. If you are able to donate any of the following, we would greatly appreciate it: Sandwiches -peanut butter and jelly or bologna and cheese on white bread in individual sandwich bags. We ask for 40 sandwiches (4 loaves of bread) from each volunteer, but any amount would be appreciated. Fruit -- oranges and bananas are preferred Candy big bags of small candy bars are perfect. Powdered lemonade mix regular or pink. Also, we need plastic grocery bags to place the meals in. Please bring your donations to the parish hall before 11:30am. If you need to bring your sandwiches before Sunday, you can put them in the parish hall kitchen refrigerator and we'll find them. Volunteers are also needed to help pack the lunches following 10:30 Mass. We do need someone to drive the lunches to the Union Mission. If you are interested in driving this Sunday or anytime in the future, please let them know. It's easy and rewarding and you are usually back by 2:00pm. Our Preschool Program at St. Andrew provides a safe and nurturing environment for one year old through four year old preschoolers. The program allows your child to be part of a Catholic based, social, yet structured setting, as well as getting our four year olds ready for kindergarten. COORDINATORG.R.A.C.E. SCHOLARS, INC. COORDINATOR


GRACE Scholars is the student scholarship organization for the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Savannah. The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the GRACE office and provides support for the director. The coordinator is the front line telephone contact with donors and personnel in the schools, parishes and with other organizations and is expected to give excellent customer service. The coordinator is responsible for a variety of finance and operations activities which require mastery of bookkeeping, database and office software skills. Requirements: Bachelors degree with two or three years of administrative support experience. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent customer service, organizational, and communications skills. Familiarity with accounting and finance is preferred. Being a practicing Catholic is a plus. The GRACE office is located in Smyrna. La matricula para el curso escolar 2011-2012 esta abierta. Es necenecesario que se inscriba lo antes posible para reservar su lugar ya que el cupo es limitado. Todos los alumnos tienen que registrarse

Asistir a misa regularmente. - Inscribir al nio/a y traer copia del certificado de nacimiento. El nio/a no debe ser mayor de 7 aos de edad*** (ver explicacin mas abajo.)Padres y padrinos deben asistir a una charla pre-bautismal.

(aunque hallan asistido el ao anterior) y presentar copia del certifica-Deben ser catlicos. Bautizados y confirmados, presentar certificado. Mayores de 16 anos. - Si son casados deben certificado de bautismo. Despus de Sept. 03 habr una multa de $10. serlo por la iglesia y presentar certificado de matrimonio. El costo del programa es de $50 por nio y $70 para los nios que hacen la Casados por lo civil o en unin libre no califican. Primera Comunin este ao.
