Introduction
Urbanization is the replacement of nature by culture.

Many habitats have been lost and a few new ones gained (Helden and Leather 2004). Insects became pest or nuisance. House promotes the breeding site for Insects. Insects around the house: mosquitoes, houseflies, termites, ants, mites, cockroaches and etc. Insects carry and transmit diseases.

Johari Jalinas

Literature Review
Many factors have been influenced in determining the

relative species richness of different urban habitats and habitat patches (Helden and Leather 2004). The factors are the level of isolation and fragmentation, disturbance, habitat type, area and diversity (Connor et al., 2003)

Johari Jalinas

Objectives of Study
To determine the species diversity of insects in indoor

and outdoor the house. To use the variable method to collect the insects and determine the suitable method according to the habitats.

Statistical Analysis
The big questions is to want to know the abundance

(number) of insects due to the different 1) Study sites: Indoor-Indoor, Indoor Outdoor, Outdoor Outdoor. 2) Time of sampling: Morning Night 3) Type of sampling method: Baiting, Pitfall, Light trap, Sticky Trap.

Johari Jalinas

Expected Result
Expected species will be collected: Indoor vs Outdoor: Outdoor >Indoor (no of species). Day vs Night: Diurnal and Nocturnal species. Method of sampling: Light trap may be the most practical method (outdoor) and baiting (indoor) to collect the diversity species of insects.
