How to Learn Tanach

Tuesday evenings, 8:30-9:30pm


A third-generation student and teacher of Tanach, Rabbi Hagay Elitzur introduces a methodology to the study of Torah, Neviim and Ketuvim that he learned in Israel to enhance our understanding of and ability to analyze classic Biblical texts.

Sunday mornings
This series explores the interaction between Torah and key issues in the modern world. The first presentation explores primary Torah sources that discuss the value of secular studies in the context of Jewish learning; the second focuses on ethical issues and property rights in the world of the internet.

Unlike any other program of its kind in Chicago, this unique presentation blends the recitation of traditional Tisha Bav Kinnot with historical, emotional and contemporary Torah commentary from a wide range of sources and perspectives to make the Kinnot experience more meaningful.

A cadre of Chicagos bright collegiate men and women spend their summer combining Torah study with the Kollel and internships at businesses and non-profit organizations throughout Chicagoland in partnership with HTC.
