Spotlight : Graduates of 2011

Some of our CCCSW graduates had the opportunity to share with us some reflections from the past and some, plans for the future. The greatest theme that runs through all their impressions was how the Lord was and continues to be apart of their lives! four-year university (if it's God's will). Right now Im thinking of applying to Point Loma Nazarene University, UCLA, Biola, and Azusa Pacific University. I would also like to travel to other countries, but that might have to wait until after college :)

My mother began home schooling me in the 7th grade and we thought it was only going to be through Junior High, but here I am, a Senior graduating in June. At first we werent sure if it was going to work out but my mom listened to Gods leading and things began going great. Ive met some great people in the Enrichment Classes and have had fun on the field trips. Im not sure exactly what I want to do after I graduate but I know that my parents will always be there for me, encouraging me and praying for me.

This senior year was a very stressful period for me. The bulk of it had to do with a medical condition I currently have called Graves Disease, which is a thyroid problem. Basically, this condition makes it really difficult to concentrate on schoolwork. Studying is still hard to undertake even though Im taking medication to help balance out my system. And in all honesty, Im just glad high school is almost over with. But then again, most seniors probably feel that way. After graduation, my goal is to complete my general education requirements with hopes of landing a spot in the nursing program. However, there are two specific fields that really interest me: neonatal nursing and athletic training. Im still in the crazy process of determining which

After graduation, I'm going to Mt. San Antonio College to get my AA. I want to be a nurse, so after Mt. SAC I am planning to transfer to a nursing program at a

road to pursue. Regardless, Id be happy with either career direction. I like to call itpursuing my dreams. Haha. Many Filipino girls who turn eighteen have desires to celebrate their entry into adulthood with an extravagant event called a Debut. Not me. What I really want to do is travel the world and experience new cultures, delicacies and languages that I have absolutely no clue about. Just the idea of going into a place where Im totally out of my comfort zone and the realm of unfamiliarity, excites me. And Id also love to attend a European soccer match with all its fervor. I know these endeavors will cost a fortune, but that doesnt mean I still cant dream about it. Theres a caveat from my dad who once said: All my past dreams eventually became a reality. In the end, I think Ill just shut up and let God lead the way for me. I might have a ton of dreams, but His plans are the best for me. So as I traverse the big unknown world, Ill take comfort in the fact that He will direct my footsteps in the right direction. And in that, I know He will never leave me, nor forsake me. Thanks, God.
