OVERVIEW OF THE PROBLEM

There is a huge unemployment prevailing over all the fields, but requirement of jobs are higher than number of persons who are looking for it. The fact behind this problem is lack of awareness among the students about the true need of the industry. So, in order to bridge this gap we have to create a virtual relation between these two sides. Industry expects more from students in form of awareness to technical knowledge, organizational behaviour, values, and attitudes when they come for campus recruitment. But unsatisfied reply from students to their expectation causes dissatisfaction.

At institute students get academic knowledge and some practical knowledge but these are too much diverse to target getting recruitment in distinct industry (company). of globalization and the technical advances are taking day by day. The young generation must be strive to develop into a well rounded personality, with excellent technical managerial, interpersonal and communication skills, poised at the cutting edge of technology. In this context, JEC has done a commendable job in a short span of nine years. This period is not long lime in the life of an institute specially, which is dedicated to making the society self-reliant in challenging area of technical and management education. SOLUTION Industry persons those are currently working can provide information, what is required for new employees (professionals) to target their company. They are standing on boundary of fence which parts industry and our institute. So these industry persons will be the best mentor for students to guide them in career building.

The institute should invite the industry to reveal the core fields in which they are working on it through website. So, students have some idea about the new parts in which he/she has to concentrate in addition to his regular curriculum. In addition to that students can also submit their projects in website. It will take the idea directly into true talent to the industry. It will also reduce training expenditure of company.

It will bring down the searching cost of the fresh employee once students come out of the college.

Here, we are going to create a website which connects industry, student and Teachers. The tough part of this job lies in convincing the industry person to reveal the technology in which they are working on.

How this plan will work? First Phase: Create a team of student and send them to various IT companies. They will collect information about the different fields in which the companies are working on. All of them will combine together to frame a design (web model) which will cover the whole field that they have collected. Create the website based on projected model.

Second Phase: -

 The institute will send request to IT companies to disclose their main area of expertise. For example, if they are engaging in some software development then they will provide information about the tools in which they are using to develop those softwares. A Student club will be formed in order to disseminate this knowledge among students. A separate Username and Password will be provided to each company for their own access. Each student of the college should register in that website to avail the service. According to their own interest, student can subscribe the field in which they would like to receive information. Third Phase: The company will release some trial project through the website. Those who studied those tools related to the project will form a team and work on it. The student will send back their work to the corresponding company. How the company will benefit through this scheme? They can let the student to work on some modules of their main project. So, privacy of the project wont be revealed.

At the same time, they have an opportunity of getting work done at free of cost. So, student act as a virtual employee of the company with zero salary package. During recruitment times, they already have choice of student in which they would like to choose based on their past project performance. It will help them to get the right candidate for their company and reduce considerable training time, cost. What are the benefits for students? They will get the chance to know the real need of their industry. They can bright up their minds by working on real time projects. So, they can explore more away from their academic subjects. They have a chance to create a trust on them from the company. It will increase their possibility of getting into the company.
POSSIBLE SETBACK OF THIS IDEA

If the student failed to meet the trial project (some modules) within specified time period, company have to do the module. Mostly business environment is time sensitive. So, company have to incur the loss. It will damage the relationship between the company and institute.

These activities will consume more time of the student. So the burden on academic will goes up.
