Production Scheduling Manager 2001 to Present Responsible for scheduling and publishing production plan and ensuring staff (up to 60 full time and temporary workers) and equipment availability for three production shifts and 16 manufacturing lines. Direct reports are: production planner, two procurement/expeditors and a production verification clerk. Customers include: Hardee's, Ryan's, Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral, Domino's, BP and Sysco. Expertise in production planning, inventory control and problem solving resulted in achieving a 98% fill rate in 2010 shipping over 96 million pounds while turning inventory approximately every three weeks. Worked directly with customers taking product requests, creating production schedules, purchasing raw and packaging materials and arranging transportation of all inbound and outbound goods. Adjusted formulas to accommodate differences based on quality test results and communicated manufacturing schedule to the production floor. Tested raw materials and finished goods as well as calculated and performed standardization for finished goods to meet customer specifications. Initiated and streamlined job function through computerization resulting in a 50% decrease in time to perform daily tasks. Promoted to Computer Systems Manager: Spearheaded all operations for company-wide PC-based computer system, including researching, proposing, purchasing, networking, business programming, troubleshooting, data integrity and preventative maintenance.
