Print Your Name Here: Show all work in the space provided. We can give credit only for what you write! Indicate clearly if you continue on the back side, and write your name at the top of the scratch sheet if you will turn it in for grading. No books or notes are allowed. A scientic calculator is allowedbut it is not needed. If you use a calculator, you must still write out the operations performed on the calculator to show that you know how to solve the problem and did not just guess or remember the answer. Please do not replace precise answers with decimal approximations. There are ve (5) problems: Maximum total score = 100.

There were many diculties encountered with this problem. The most common were misunderstanding of the path, wrong parameterization, wrong dierentiation, and wrong anti-dierentiation. It may be helpful to visit the Free Math Tutorials often, since they are mainly for calculus. See the time and place listed at the class website. 2. a. My = z = Nx , Mz = y = Px , and Nz = x = Py . b. f (x, y, z) = xyz + y + z up to an arbitrary additive constant. c. The value of the integral is f (1, 2, 3) f (0, 0, 0) = 11. 3. The hypotenuse of the triangle is given by the equation x + 2y = 4 y 2 + sin x2 dx + 3xy + ln y 2 + 1 dy = =

Only one paper had the correct answer in the end. There were many errors with the domain of the integration. The Free Tutorials may help with this important calculus technique. Also there were many errors from needless expansions of powers of multinomials.
