Cumulus Sites is an all-new Web publishing and file sharing technology from Canto. Based on the blazingly fast Cumulus 8 Server back- end, Sites offers:

•Ease of use — Sites requires no user training, because it functions just like a website. •Flexible file sharing — Select some files, enter some email addresses and Sites emails collec- tion links for you. Recipients see only the files you want them to see. Links can be password protected, and expiration dates can be used too. •Personal collections — Create as many per- sonal collections as you need. This is a great way to organize groups of files you regularly share with others. •Login-free access — A base guest access level requires no login, which means Web visitors connect with no fuss. An optional user login enables you to provide additional access to account holders. •Viral file distribution — Embed collection links into PDFs or even social media like Twitter, YouTube or Facebook. Increase traffic to your site, and watch asset revenues soar! •Easy appearance tweaking — Corporate branding is easy to support, themes are sup- ported, and content and layout changes can be made from within Cumulus. Fort more advanced changes, use CSS and JSP to make Sites perfect for your needs.

Your website files can now be served directly
from Cumulus using Cumulus-Direct URLs.
Using HTML-standard links that Cumulus cre-
ates for you on demand, Cumulus-cataloged
files can be easily accessed from your website
as downloads, previews and even thumbnails.
Best of all, assets are always served live,
directly from Cumulus, which means:
•Always-current files — Your website files are
never outdated, because you can use
Cumulus to ensure what Web visitors see are
the most recent versions.
•Single-source updates — Updated assets no

website separately. This means less work for you, and fewer delays (and mistakes) keeping websites in sync with production files. •Statistics tracking — Let Cumulus track file downloads and previews, so you’ll know which files are most popular with visitors. Even better, using Cumulus-Direct URLs, there are no special tags you need to add to website links in order to enabling tracking. In short, anywhere you provide asset thumb- nails, previews or downloads, you should be taking advantage of Cumulus-Direct URLs! Note: Either Cumulus Sites or the Cumulus Web Client is required to resolve URLs.

(Top right) Embed Cumulus-Direct URLs into any Web interface you build. For assets that are updated regularly, like reports, all you need to do is update the files in Cumulus and your Web visitors will receive the latest versions.

•Built-in image editing — create asset varia- tions over the Web. •Report view — See a scrolling list of metadata

that includes thumbnails. •Thumbnail size slider — Resize thumbnails using an interactive slider. •User live filter — Focus on certain asset for- mats, statuses or any other criteria.
