CURRENT POSITION
2.9.2019 -> Counsellor, Education and Science. Permanent Delegation of Finland to the OECD and
UNESCO
Following education, skills, science, health, well-being, equality and migration at OECD and edu-
cation and science at UNESCO.
Main focus of my work is related to aspects of equity in and through education, as well as meas-
urement and indicators, science–policy interface, and evidence-based policy.
I am a Member of the Governing Board (2022-2026) of UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS)
I served as the head of Finnish delegation in intergovernmental negotiations on the text of the
Unesco recommendation on Ethics of Artificial intelligence, and Recommendation on open sci-
ence).

Developing methods to measure and experiment on dyadic interactions, such as playing music
together.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
2006–12 University teacher in musicology, planning and teaching courses (from 1st year to master’s
level) in musicology, music education, music therapy, and Music, Mind & Technology. Responsible for
curriculum development as a member of the Teaching Development Group. I co-authored an online re-
search methods resource for humanities, being responsible for the quantitative methods sec-
tions: Mapping Research Methods http://bit.ly/11g4N1. University Pedagogical Training programme
at Aalto University.
