EXPERIENCE Software Development Project Manager (1995-2010), Nortel, Richardson, TX Release Project Management
Part of Project Management team responsible for planning, sizing, and coordinating multimillion dollar custom development releases. Created and maintained master Project and Resource Plans to track Custom Software Development Releases by our organization. Coordinated and hosted requirements discussions and documentation reviews with the customers to ensure clarity and agreement of deliverables by both parties.

Software Project Planning & Sizing


Managed Level-of-Effort (LOE) planning activities, many of which resulted in multi-million dollar software projects, interfacing directly with the Customer, PLM, and Account & Sales. Managed research and consulting activities for internal and external customers, many of which developed into revenue generating new project requests.

Software Development & Verification


Managed software development of Regular Release and Fast Features (quick turn-around requests delivered via patches) for Sprint LD, Verizon, AT&T, Qwest, and Roger's with multi-site, multi-national teams spanning US, Canada, Turkey, and India. Worked directly with Customers and PLM to clarify, negotiate, and capture Feature Requirements and Specifications. People managed and developed a diverse Software Design staff of up to 14 direct reports and matrix managed Verification staff on Test Plan strategy, development, and execution.

Primed compliance to appropriate Software Development Process and ensured that latest processes and tools were used by our organization. Created, enhanced and maintained custom specific design processes used within our organization, while working to influence wider umbrella development processes by providing timely, constructive feedback through both formal and informal channels.
