AN OVERVIEW Accomplished senior level professional with demonstrated experience of nearly 16 years in Material Testing, QA/QC for Road / Highway / Bridge construction projects. Currently associated with Scott Wilson India Pvt. Ltd. as Material Engineer. Expertise in soils and materials testing, preparation of bituminous and concrete mix designs, setting up and running of material testing laboratory, technical supervision of construction of roads, bridges, etc. Possess outstanding abilities in ensuring quality at the project site by conducting quality tests and inspection and rejecting any material non-conforming to the laid down standards. Deft at highway construction management, selection and testing of suitable materials for highway construction. Acquired familiarity with modern highway construction technology and well conversant with relevant ASTM, BS, ASSTHO and foreign and Indian standards. Generating fill quality plan for the given project and ensuring quality checks for all activities on at the site. Examining and verifying the methodology for a particular operation and maintaining all quality records, MIS pertaining to QA / QC. Checking RCC and finishing activities on daily basis and conducting technical audits at site; inspecting slabs, postconcreting and during concreting, materials received at site. Executing quality control and testing of all construction materials (such as cement, steel, bitumen, admixtures, curing compounds, NP-4 pipes) as per IS, IRC, BS and ASTM codes. Handling periodic calibration of equipment (all dial gauges, batching plants, wet mix plant, hot mix plant, etc.), preparing mix design for bituminous and concrete mixes, keeping records, etc. Preparing specification for variety of construction materials, viz. soils, aggregates, cement, bitumen, emulsion, reinforcement bars, admixture concrete and various other materials, etc. as per Indian specification and international specification (ASTM, BS, AASHTO etc) and design of various mixes. Responsible for supervision of the construction activities, progress monitoring, quality control activities such as borrow areas testing, embankment, sub-grade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, concrete works, calibration of Concrete Batching Plant, Hot Mix Plant, WMM Plant, etc., maintaining testing records.
