Installation
Installer CSI: NY Le Jeu
Pour installer CSI: NY The Game, insrez le CD dans le lecteur de votre ordinateur et slectionnez Installer depuis lcran de dmarrage. Il vous sera galement demand dinstaller DirectX. Ces fichiers sont ncessaires au fonctionnement du jeu, alors si vous ntes pas sr de les avoir sur votre ordinateur, installezles. Par ailleurs, si le programme dinstallation ne dtecte pas Flash Player sur votre ordinateur, il vous dirigera vers une page web partir de laquelle vous pourrez le tlcharger.

Dsinstaller CSI: NY Le Jeu

Pour dsinstaller le jeu, cliquez sur le menu dmarrer, slectionnez CSI: NY Le Jeu (par dfaut : Programmes, Ubisoft, CSI: NY The Game), puis Dsinstaller.

INTRODUCTION

Les crimes ne manquent pas dans la ville qui ne dort jamais, et les experts de la police scientifique de New York sont bien dcids lucider les mystres qui entourent les victimes. Dans le rle des inspecteurs Mac Taylor et Stella Bonasera, vous aurez recours la mdecine lgale pour faire parler les indices et amener les coupables devant la justice, dans le cadre de quatre des plus tranges affaires de lanne. Pour dcouvrir la vrit, vous explorerez les lieux des crimes, vous interrogerez les suspects et vous prlverez et analyserez des pices conviction. Au cours de vos enqutes, vous collaborerez avec certains des meilleurs agents de la police scientifique de New York et une quipe de choc.

Nouvelle partie : commencer une nouvelle partie ou continuer une partie pralablement sauvegarde. Appuyez sur la touche Echap pour revenir au menu principal. Crer un joueur : crer un nouveau joueur, slectionner un autre joueur ou effacer un joueur existant. Options : rgler le volume du son et de la musique, et choisir entre les modes daffichage plein cran et fentr (mode fentr par dfaut). Crdits : affiche les crdits de l'quipe de production du jeu. Quitter : quitter le jeu pour revenir sous Windows. Remarque : pendant le jeu, vous pouvez accder ce menu tout moment en appuyant sur la touche Echap, puis en slectionnant Quitter. Votre partie sera automatiquement sauvegarde lorsque vous quitterez le jeu.

Slectionner une affaire

La premire fois que vous jouerez CSI: NY The Game, vous naurez accs qu la premire affaire : Des hauts et des bas . Il y a quatre affaires rsoudre au total. Lorsque vous avez rsolu une affaire, vous pouvez soit vous attaquer la suivante, soit recommencer une affaire dj termine pour essayer de raliser un meilleur score. Pour enquter sur une nouvelle affaire, slectionnez-la dans la liste et cliquez sur Commencer. Pour charger et continuer une affaire en cours, slectionnez-la dans la liste et cliquez sur Charger. Vous retournerez lendroit o vous aviez interrompu vos investigations. Sachez que vous perdrez votre progression si vous commencez une autre affaire avant davoir termin la prcdente.

Explorer les lieux

enqute. Chaque affaire vous propose diffrents mini-jeux. Pour chacun dentre eux, suivez les instructions affiches en bas de lcran. Si vous tes bloqu pendant un mini-jeu, vous ne pourrez pas utiliser le bouton Indices. Cependant, vous pouvez linterrompre temporairement en cliquant sur Ressayer plus tard, en bas droite.

Conversations

Aprs votre arrive sur le lieu du crime, cliquez sur les objets suspects ou intressants. Ceux qui ont un intrt vous seront acquis et apparatront dans votre inventaire, en bas de lcran. Plus vous rcuprerez dobjets important, plus les images des objets quil vous faut encore trouver deviendront nettes. Pour certaines pices conviction, vous devrez rsoudre une nigme (voir la section Mini-jeux) avant de pouvoir les rcuprer. Dautres lments ncessiteront lutilisation dun objet que vous avez dj. Par exemple, si vous avez trouv une cl, il est possible quune serrure se mette briller pour vous mettre sur la voie. Faites alors glisser lobjet appropri de votre inventaire sur celui qui brille. Si une pice conviction doit tre prleve laide dun outil, linstrument adquat sera automatiquement mis votre disposition. Vous devez rcuprer toutes les preuves avant de pouvoir interroger un suspect ou vous rendre dans un autre endroit. Si vous tes coinc, cliquez sur la cible Indices, en bas de lcran, et vous obtiendrez de laide pour localiser lobjet suivant. Chaque indice utilis fait baisser votre score pour laffaire en cours.

Mini-jeux

Vous devrez frquemment interroger des suspects pour obtenir des informations essentielles lenqute. Les conversations se dclenchent automatiquement lorsque vous entrez dans une pice ou lorsque vous avez rcupr toutes les pices conviction trouver. Pendant les conversations, le texte apparatra dans une bulle sous la personne laquelle vous vous adressez. Pour rebondir sur un lment que le suspect vient dvoquer, cliquez sur les mots souligns. Vous pouvez utiliser les preuves en votre possession pour obtenir plus dinformations ou pour confondre un suspect qui ment. Faites glisser lobjet en question sur votre interlocuteur. Parfois, il vous faudra cliquer sur une partie spcifique de lobjet. Si vous cliquez au mauvais endroit, votre barre de crdibilit diminuera. Vous perdrez galement en crdibilit si vous interrogez votre suspect sur des objets qui ne sont pas pertinents. Si votre barre de crdibilit se vide entirement, vous devrez reprendre linterrogatoire depuis le dbut. Plus vous obtiendrez de renseignements, plus votre barre de progression augmentera. Si elle est pleine, cest que vous avez men votre interrogatoire avec succs. Fermez la bulle de conversation pour passer la suite.

Score

Votre prestation sur chaque affaire fera lobjet dune valuation. Votre score tiendra compte du temps pass sur laffaire, ainsi que sur les mini-jeux, du nombre dindices utiliss et de la qualit de vos interrogatoires. Votre score final, par rapport au nombre maximum de points quil est possible dobtenir, est affich en dessous de chaque affaire dans le menu principal. Vous avez la possibilit de refaire chacune dentre elles si vous souhaitez amliorer votre score.

Installation
Installing CSI: NY The Game
To install CSI: NY The Game, inser t the CD into your computer and select Install from the Star tup screen. You will be asked to install DirectX. You need these files to play the game, so if you are unsure of whether your computer has them, please install them. Also, if the installer does not detect Flash Player on your computer, it will direct you to a webpage where you can download it.

Uninstalling CSI: NY The Game

To uninstall, click on the Start menu and navigate to CSI: NY The Game (by default: All Programs, Ubisoft, CSI: NY The Game). Then select Uninstall.

INTRODUCTION

Play: Begin a new episode or continue from your last save point. Change Player: Create a new player, select another player, or delete an existing player. Options: Adjust the sound volume and the music volume, and choose full screen or windowed game (default is windowed). Credits: Displays the production credits for the game. Quit: Quits the game and exits the program. Note: During game play, you can return to this menu at any time by hitting the Esc key and selecting Save & Exit. The game will save automatically when you exit.

The city that never sleeps is replete with crime, and the New York crime scene investigators are more than ready to find some answers for the victims. As Detectives Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera, you will use forensic science to piece together clues and bring criminals to justice in four of the most bizarre cases of the year. To uncover the truth, you must visit crime scenes, interrogate suspects, and collect and analyze physical evidence. Along the way, youll be working with some of New Yorks top CSI agents and support team.

Selecting an Episode

When you first start playing CSI: NY The Game, you will only be able to access Episode One: Downward Spiral. There are a total of four murders to be solved. To begin an episode, select it from the list. After you have solved a crime, the next one will become available to you. You can either start investigating this new episode, or replay a previously completed one to work toward a better score. Once you have unlocked other episodes, you can work on multiple cases and your progress will be saved in each. When you return to an episode in progress, you will be prompted to continue from your last save point. If you select no, you must start the episode from the beginning.

Investigating a Scene

Conversations

After arriving at a scene, click on suspicious or interesting objects. The ones of value will come into your possession, appearing in your inventory at the bottom of the screen. As you collect more objects of significance, images of the remaining objects you need become more defined. Some objects will prompt you to solve a puzzle (see Mini-Games) before you can collect that object. Some objects will require you to use an object you already have. For example, after you collect a key, a lock may sparkle as a hint. Drag the appropriate object in your inventory onto the sparkling object. If an object requires the use of an evidence collection tool, the appropriate tool will become available to you. You must collect all evidence at a scene before you can interview a suspect or progress to the next location. If you get stuck, click on the HINT target at the bottom left of the screen to help you locate the next object. Each time you use a hint, your score for the case decreases.

Mini-Games

You will frequently have to interview suspects to learn information vital to the case. Conversations are initiated automatically when you enter a room or when you finish collecting evidence. During a conversation, text will appear on-screen in a conversation bubble below the person you are speaking to. To follow up on something the suspect has said, click on the underlined words. You can use evidence in your possession to get more information or to reveal a suspects lies. Drag and drop the object onto the person you are speaking with. You will sometimes be prompted to click on a specific area of the object. If you click on an irrelevant area, your credibility bar will decrease. You will also lose credibility if you question the suspect about irrelevant objects. If the credibility bar reaches zero, you must conduct the interview again from the beginning. As you become more informed, your progress bar will increase. When the progress bar reaches the maximum, you have successfully completed the interview. Close the conversation bubble to move on.

Scoring

You will be evaluated on your performance for each case. The score is based on how well you investigated each scene, conducted interviews, and completed mini-games. Your score will be displayed at the completion of an episode. Each episode can be replayed for a better score.

You will come across mini-games in all locations: scenes, the lab, and the morgue. You must complete each one to progress in the case. Each case has different mini-games. Follow the instructions for the mini-game at the bottom left of the screen. If you get stuck on a mini-game, you will not be able to use the HINT button. You can get out of it temporarily by clicking on the Solve Later button at the bottom right.
