Instinct Newsletter # 172 - February 1993 Let's talk about instinct. God created man in His image.

He gave them that SOUl, "the breath of life" and what we call natural instinct. Natural instinct is a very flesh instinct. If you don't have the Word, 'the law"; nature itself will teach you instinct. The word in the Greek is "foosis", natural order of things. That is the only way you can pull natural instinct from the Bible; that which is natural. Natural instinct is a part of that word. God gave us that instinct. We have something far superior to natural instinct. We have divine instinct, which in many cases overrides the natural instinct. James 3:7 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 'Kind' in Greek is "foosis", or natural order. 'Mankind' in Greek means man's nature. Man's nature is higher or more intelligent than the beast, the fish, or the birds. Man's nature is above the animal kingdom. 2 Pet 1:3 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: He has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. He has given them to us. Do you want them? All you have to do is claim them, friend. God doesn't want second class citizens serving Him. He wants sons and daughters of the living God that are boldly serving Him. He gives it all to you through the knowledge. What knowledge? God's Word. That is why we study it. That is why we saturate ourselves in it. 2 Pet 1:4 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Those promises are yours and only with knowledge can you know what those promises are, whereby you can claim them and obtain piece of mind. This is not natural nature. This is divine nature far above that instinct of the flesh man. What could you do with that? You could be a partaker. That is what separates Christians from other people; that you may be a partaker of that divine nature, having escaped the corruption of lust that is in the world. Lust of what? Satan's world. 2 Pet 2:10 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. They like to speak evil about anything that has to do with Christ. 2 Pet 2:11 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

Do not argue with Satan! You know better. Order him out or he will deceive you. Instinctively throw him out! 2 Pet 2:12-13 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 'Religion' is such a wonderful thing. We can all join hands and worship together and then allow all sorts of corruption. Worship based on anything other than God's Word can be dangerously misleading. Jude 1:10 10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. You not only have your natural instinct of the flesh, but also your divine nature. You have this brute nature that is of the heavens through the fallen angels, which simplified is satanic nature. In the end time, they are going to be preforming miracles, that would deceive even the elect if they were not very careful. If you are going to study your Father's Word so that you are not deceived, it does not matter when they come. You are ready. Know your own nature. Know divine nature and also know that satanic nature. It is allowed both on earth and in the heavens and it will grow stronger in the end times. Gal 4:8 8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. You were a slave, you obeyed in ignorance perhaps, by nature again, by natural instinct. Gal 4:9 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? These elements translated; the elementary rules of the natural order. Never go back to them. Eph 2:1-2 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ouickened means made alive, eternal life. Eph 2:3

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Our mind can really get twisted out of shape if you listen to the natural minds of the world. Nature, "foosis" means: your natural instinct. If you stay in the natural, that is to say your natural instinct and never reach up to take that divine nature, then your lot will be of the world rather than in Christ. If you don't think there is a difference in natural instinct and divine instinct, you haven't understood too much of what I am talking about. Think about it. It grows on you. Eph 2:4-6 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Even when we were dead, meaning spiritually dead in sins, God, in His love gave you the privilege and the ability to participate, to be a partaker. II Peter 1:4, gave you the permission to participate in the divine nature even to the sitting down at the right hand of God, in Christ. Eph 2:7 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. We have ages to enjoy with Him. There is no end. Where do you want to be? Be thankful and don't hesitate to utilize the power that God has given you to partake of a more divine nature, rather than this natural beast that we can be. Get your act together! John 17:14-17 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Do you want to know what the truth is? The Word. Study with knowledge into the languages in which it was written. John 17:18-20 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; He has sent us into the world with truth. What is the truth? The Word, that is why we study it. He sends you. That is your destiny, my friend. That is what separates you

from natural instinct. The fact that He sends you. You partake of that divine nature and you take the word, the truth, to someone and give them that blessed hope and piece of mind, in a very' confused world. We are at that time. Understand yourself. Even though you partake of the divine nature, you still have natural instinct. In other words, face reality. As long as you live in this flesh body you are going to have that and you are going to have those moments when this flesh is going to cry out at you. He has you here for a purpose. That purpose is to bring forward the truth and help your brothers and sisters. If an opportunity prevails that you can plant a seed; do it! That doesn't mean to go out and preach to everyone you come across, but if someone asks for a seed; plant it! As long as you are in this flesh you are going to have that natural nature, so don't think you are going to get rid of it because you have received divine nature. You are always going to have it, but the divine nature helps you handle it. The Christian faith is one of the only groups of people that teach that it is possible to control natural instinct. You can handle it. Sure, you are going to mess up and fall a little short occasionally, but you can make it. Don't be disappointed when your divine nature makes you aware of it. Thank God that you have the divine nature, that warned you. Repent and get going. Get up and be somebody. You are a child of God. Yes, you have natural instinct, you are one of those fortunate ones in accepting Christ, that you join Him also in that divine nature. In His Service.
