SUBSTITUTES WANTED: Chaparral Christian Preschool and Kindergarten is looking for individuals 18 and older who love to work with 2 to 5-year-olds. All of our classrooms are set up with two teachers so as a substitute, you will work as an assistant only with one of the regular teachers. You are required to be fingerprinted but the preschool will reimburse you for the fingerprinting once you start subbing. The position pays $10 an hour. Call or email Nicole Moran for a substitute application at ccpk@qwestoffice.net or 480-991-6440.
Sunday, September 18th, at noon in the Choir Room Each year, Mrs. Ritter and Mrs. Lees second grade class is presented with a Bible of their very own. This is the year we spend a lot of time teaching the children how to nd verses in our Bibles as well as read stories together about the Bible adventures. Kids love having Gods word to read that is made for their age level. Save the date for your family to attend!
Youth Group
Today, Jr. and Sr. High students will split up after worshiping together in The Commons and go to their respective classes in the Forum; 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, led by Jennifer Rice in the North Forum classroom, will be studying the topic of Prayer including discussions on "The purpose of prayer," "Praying for the right reason," and "Making time to pray." The 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders, led by Travis Armes in the South Forum classroom, will be discussing the idea of the Christian Atheist based on the book by Craig Groeschel, The Christian Atheist: Believing in God but Living as If He Doesn't Exist. Discussions will include "When you believe in God but you won't forgive," "When you believe in God but not in prayer," "When you believe in God but pursue happiness at any cost," and "When you believe in God but not in His Church."
Woohoo! Cant wait! We will meet in the Choir Room at 8:45 a.m. Also, we are taking volunteers who want to run the donut booth - you sign up for a month at a Dme. We are taking sign-ups for the rest of 2011. Email Jackie Huber if you are interested in being the head donut person or just helping out!

Helpful Information
We hope your worship experience with us will be meaningful. To help you feel a bit more comfortable with our campus and morning programs, we have included a few recommendations. We are glad you are here today!
We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear from everyone! Communion/Lords Supper All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along. Offering In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving as you are led. Nursery We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions
