OUR EXPLANATION OF THE CLAIMS MADE ABOUT MOBILICITY INTERNAL USE ONLY.

2010 Rogers Communications.

THE IDEA OF UNLIMITED

Mobilicity price plans are big on the idea of unlimited calling and data. With extra usage charges outside of their limited zones that can add up, Mobilicity price plans are anything but unlimited. Rogers Reality Rogers gives you mobile freedom by never tying you down to a zone. Talk, text and surf wherever you are in Canada, with no out of zone charges. The Rogers network covers 94% of the Canadian population - now thats a whole lot of mobility.

Reality of Unlimited Unlimited means using your phone only in a limited zone in Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton or Vancouver. All use outside of Mobilicity zones is extra with out-ofzone charges of 20/minute, 10/text, $5/Mb. Since youre still tied to a zone, Mobilicity zones simply stretch your home phone cord a bit further - thats not unlimited mobility.

ROGERS COVERAGE

NO BILL SURPRISES

Mobilicity customers must pay up front for monthly services - its the only billing option. Customers must keep money in their My Wallet account so extra charges are applied as theyre incurred. Rogers Reality Worry-free data, which comes with most data plans, allows you to understand your data habits without any overage charges for the first two months. Usage trackers via Rogers.com and on-device apps let you stay on track. Rogers provides the tools and options to reduce the chance of surprise!

Reality of No Bill Surprises It comes back to limited Mobilicity zones and the out-of-zone charges that can add up. A short drive from home could mean surprises, if you travel outof-zone. Use 1Gb outside of a zone and get the surprise of a lifetime- $5120 for out-of-zone data use ($5/MB x 1024Mb = $5120). Extra charges can be a surprise when they are applied to a customers My Wallet.

CONTRACTS, CONTRACTS

The positives of term contracts are ignored. A lot of people want phone subsidies, handset protection and hardware upgrades that come with Rogers fixed-term contracts. Rogers Reality Rogers understands not everyone wants a term contract so no term options are provided. The benefits of a Rogers term contract means a big subsidy on the initial phone costs saving you money right off the bat. It also means you get the Rogers Handset Protection Guarantee Program at no extra cost. This will protect your device until eligible for a hardware upgrade, at which point you can get a new device at promo pricing.

Reality of No Contracts Be prepared to spend to start calling. With no subsidy offered, phones must be purchased outright, which can cost up to $550 - an expensive item if lost or broken! And compared to Rogers, the selection of devices is limited. If you want the Mobilicity Phone Protection Plan, you need to pay an additional $84/year. Paying up front for a device, the first months service fees and the extra protection plan means big bucks before your first call is made.

$49 $41

1. The up front costs of $199 for a device is not affordable for students, whod rather offset initial costs with a subsidy and term contract. Also, monthly costs are $6 lower with Rogers - thats bus fare for the day! 2. Mobilicity price plans allow unlimited local calling in a zone, but students go home for weekends and holidays and visit friends and places of entertainment outside of zones which means extra charges. Calling zones dont affect Rogers customers in this way. Plus, students are in classes during weekdays anyways - Unlimited Evenings & Weekends at 6pm means unlimited calling when students need it, where they need it.

1. Currently, you cannot use Mobilicity service with the iPhone or iPad from Apple or any other tablet or netbook. 2. Rogers is the only carrier to offer Data Sharing plans, allowing customers to share data across multiple devices so data is never wasted. For a multi-device solution, Mobilicity customers would have two separate accounts on two different carriers, needing to manage different data buckets. Rogers offers competitive Canada & US long distance add-ons and rates should customers need long distance solutions.
