Restructured the engineering organization to address both product development and product support problems. This was very successful in achieving significant improvements in product development execution to both technical and business expectations. Improved Domestic and International customer confidence by aggressive identification and resolution of several high profile manufacturing and field service issues. Responsible for P&L and management of all business unit functions including engineering, marketing, manufacturing, finance and contracts involving over 40 direct employees with annual sales of $25M. Duties included responsibility for technology and marketing strategies, coordinating product development and marketing activities, management of proposal efforts, management of customer relationships, and oversight of manufacturing and product delivery commitments. Received, in 1990, Honeywells HAROLD SWEATT AWARD for the development of advanced digital video technologies. This is Honeywells most prestigious technical award and is presented to only a few scientists/engineers annually on a worldwide basis. Received, in 1989, the GENE ZARA AWARD for outstanding individual contribution to the National Aerospace Plane (NASP) program. This is a national award coming out of the NASP program office in Washington D.C. The first and only non-prime contractor employee to receive this award.
