There is already prostitution. Prostitution has become a problem for every country in the world.

There is already a long history for this kind of practice; and it keep on growing and uncontrollable like wild grass. We cannot stop it from happening but we can control it. What we can do is legalize it and create a set of control to the prostitute from spreading and to prevent people from them such as children to enter it. We can provide feeling of security to the people from prostitution; and we protecting them from it; and also we can attract and invite people who are permitted to come and want to fulfill their needs. We can take example from Red Light district in Holland. And in developing country in Indonesia we can take Gang Dolly in Surabaya. Decrease of crime rate. The first is decrease illegal prostitution. If there is already a legal prostitution, why should people use the service from the illegal one? The reason of the existent of illegal prostitution is because there is no legal prostitution in country such as Indonesia. Prostitution is consider a crime by legalize it we can decrease crime rate in a country. The second is decrease human trafficking. With the government doing registration for the prostitutes, the government could know whether the prostitutes are willingly or not. Human trafficking is forcing people to do prostitution by giving drugs and extortion. The government can help those who are force to do prostitution and destroy human trafficking syndicates in their respective country. The third one is to reduce women raping crime. Rape usually happen because the man do not have outlet for their desire. But with the legalize prostitution site. They can find the outlet that they need easier. Decrease sexual transmitted diseases. Prostitution is one of major factor for sexual transmitted diseases like AIDS, Syphilis, and Herpes. If we can control this major factor we can decrease the source of the sexual transmitted. The government can give health care for this people. The government can monitor their health to see if there are sexual transmitted diseases or not. The government also can decrease sexual transmitted diseases by giving protection like condom. If the prostitutes have the diseases, the government can took action to take care of them in the government facilities. Increase the country income. The government could give high tax for the prostitution district. For example the Red Light district every prostitute must pay tax about 19 percent of every transaction. This can improve the government income and reduce unemployment. According to Okuns rule of thumb, 1percent change in unemployment rate will be associated with a 2 percent change in output in the opposite direction. This theory proves that by legalize prostitution; it will increase employment that will lead to the increase of country income. Legalize prostitution will create moral degeneration. Legalizing prostitution will create a mindset that prostitution is good. Prostitution will be consider as a job that people can do which is create deviation from the original purpose of legalizing prostitution that is control the spreading and growing of prostitution. It is also against value that the religion teachings, for example like what Catholic and Muslim teaching that body is scared. Legalizing prostitution will create chaos. As we know most of developing countries have a strong religious bond inside their society and sometimes they are fanatic. Their fanaticism usually will make them do extreme measure for the sake of their religious value. We can take for example in Indonesia

where FPI (Front Pembela Islam) do extreme action like violence for doing what they think is right like their attack to Ahamadiah and their anarchy at Monas. Licensing prostitution will not solve the problem. We can take from the case the government set that medical cheek up can prevent more sexual transmitted diseases. Not all of the prostitution want to go to the government facility and even the government take their license from them, they still can do prostitution at the street. This will still create illegal prostitution and the spreading of sexual transmitted diseases. Rehabilitation is a better way. Rather we let legalizing prostitution why not we rehabilitate them. Rehabilitation is more civilized solution; because, it target is to eliminate prostitution. We can also create a new labor from the rehabilitated prostitute. Prostitution is a very hard problem that the government must take care. Legalizing prostitution maybe sound immoral but it is the right thing to do now. Rehabilitation is failing because they prefer prostitution than regular work because prostitution can create easy and fast money. We cannot erase it in the face of the earth but we can control it and prevent it from creating more harm.
