No auditing and quality assurance is carried out at the test centers and as a result the measurements are not reproducible. Scope for false certificates exists in this system. It is estimated that morbidity and mortality figures, due to pollution caused by emission, run in thousands. Considering the above problems in Lahore, more stress for setting up better test facilities is required. Experiences of other countries may play a vital role in designing an efficient fitness testing system and participation from international donor/experts may also be considered for establishment of test centers. 3.0 VEHICEL INSPECTION AND CERTIFICAITON SYSTEM DETAILS 3.1 Land Space for VICS LTC intends to provide space for VICS in collaboration with Government of Punjab which is estimated as 4635 sq meter.
