Birbal,[50] the most trusted, admired and loved minister of Akbar, and the i ncharge of the military and administration, was a Brahmin. Mangal Pandey, Tatya Tope and Nana Saheb were the leading personalities in t he rebellion of Indian soldiers against the British in 1857 sepoy mutiny Several chiefs of the Indian Army have been Brahmins, including General K V Krishna Rao, General Arun S.
